Good!

loved it. I just wish there was more, people rarely highlight the writer side of John. it's down played a lot in the show but so central to the books.

I'm sorry but the first three sentences were probably the best description of Writer's Block ever.
BooksAreMedicine chapter 4 . 11/10/2015
I enjoyed hearing him talk about Sherlock as a character for the ages, nice reference there and again with the original author. Anderson is certainly comic relief while who knows what Sally is besides annoying. I am glad Sherlock told him he was more than the brawn and sidekick.

Good point about the missing labtop.

Very eloquent writing here, I love how this John sees the stories and characters

The way you describe writing is beautiful. I like the point of writing and being a dectective with observations
EvilDime chapter 4 . 10/4/2014
Aw, this is cute! And very lovely. I like John as a writer of more than just his blog.
Though I wonder if he'll ever blog about their adventures in this universe; not after Mycroft tried to bribe him to do it. But maybe he'll publish some books about them?

An Escaped Rabbit chapter 4 . 6/24/2014
Wow. I really empathized with John here, pretty much because I have felt the same way about writing so damn often. There is absolutely nothing like the power of choreographing beautiful words onto a paper, yet at times it's like there is a massive dam blocking my prose. When I can knock that dam down... Well, it's just amazing. Thank you so much for this story.
MuggleCreator chapter 4 . 4/29/2014
Ooh... John as a wide reader and a writer to boot! I love it!

I don't review very often anymore; it seems like I have less and less time on my hands recently. But I had to for this story, because it was absolutely brilliant.

I stumbled across your Sherlock fics and I have to say, I fell in love with the way you portray them. I've re-read quite a few of them multiple times, this one included.

This story really struck me though. I've honestly been like John was at the beginning; I used to write and read all the time. I still have moments where I'll randomly start narrating in my head, just for fun. But real life got in the way and all of the sudden I wasn't writing anymore. Now whenever I try I just can't get the words out, even though I want to, so I sort of started to ignore the urge completely.

This beautiful work of fiction brought back that urge full force.

It's like that spark was reignited. I'll probably still have trouble putting words down at first, but I want to try again now, and the fact that my fingers actually twitched towards the pen next to me says a whole lot.

Before I start sounding any cornier, I'll wrap it up; thank you. Not only are you just a fantastic writer in general, but you've created a story that clicked so perfectly with me that I literally could not stop thinking about it for days. (By the way, one of my favorite parts was when John found out that 'Umbrella Man' was Sherlock's brother and mentioned the slight urge to squee like a fangirl at the plot twist. That little bit of comedy was perfect; I had I stop myself from laughing out loud.)

Keep up the excellent work! And sorry about the long review...I guess it got away from me.

Aiva
