So I came in expecting angst, cool action and new ways to see characters rarely talked about and came out with all of that, sure, but so, SO much more on the back of it.

This story wasn't flawless - there were some parts where I felt there were pacing issues, the Darkwraiths in the final act did seem to suffer from the Law of the Conservation of Ninjutsu a bit too much for me to not notice it, and there were some spelling mistakes, but its hard to even think about any of that when you're so immersed into a work like this one. The meta talk with Logan and the machine showing Demon's Souls and the "Creators" and the "Gods" being discussed at the end when Lautrec sees everything before coming back again was really well done.

I also want to give you massive props for making Logan such a good villain! I was sad and almosy a bit disappointed that Laurentius ended up going crazy since he's such a warm and great guy in game, but it's very understandable, but I can see why you did it and seeing old Big Hat keep his advantage as everyone turns against him was great.

A lot of this felt very Souls-like as well, such as the ending with two warriors that were once friends fighting over a dying world, first with Logan and Solaire then with Lautrec and Solaire - reminded me a lot of the cut ending of DS1 with Oscar being fought at the end, or for something more obvious, the ending of The Ringed City fighting against Gael or Bloodborne ending with you fighting Gehrman. There still being things I want to ask you isn't something I'll call a flaw because the Souls lore is all about different interpretations of things that aren't clear cut so I'm content coming up with my own interpretations and answers.

This was a great story, but I’m curious. What was that other world shown in Logan’s machine?

I just finished the grand opus you just wrote and it honestly made me tear up in few places. The plot was fresh and worthy of it's own game, albeit not a souls title. Lautrec's character arc was complete and believable. However, you made me ship Lautrec and Quelana together and I can't forgive you for it as now I'm anxiously searching for more content about them, but even if I did then it would feel empty by comparison of your work.
There is a saying that 99% of fanfiction is trash, 1% is not and out of that 1% you are at the very top.

Took me almost as long to read it as you took to write it, but i love this story. I might read it again, since it took so long. This has planted ideas in my head i wont be rid of. Like Lautrec. I still like Logan, though.

Look everyone keeps tossing charcoal ( i.e. souls) on the fire and the ash is chokeing the fire literally, dude just remove the ash from the freaking fire, literally, no mysic mojo, just f***ing fire safety use the ash to rebuild the city by turning them into bricks with water and clay bake the mix on not in or under on the fire and f***ing do something useful for once F**K simple.

this is a ver well written story. I felt for abby and,ben, and later on i REALLY wanted ben and laurentius dead.

Don’t remember if I ever commented on this story since it was one of the first fanfic I ever read, I don’t believe I had an account! A truly amazing and world building experience, such an amazing story, and one of the truly monumentally great fan fictions I have ever read! Thank you for producing such a treasure
