Great story! loved it!

I can't believe how well written this is! I'm not a huge star trek fan, but you definitely made me wanna watch it more! I am very familiar with Aaja Nachle, and is one of my favorite bollywood movies. You also did a stupendous job at describing the dance itself. What also made me appreciate this even more was the love interest, and the way she almost captures him under her spell. Its simply amazing! Excellent job! So great! First, I loved the cute and sexy interaction of the first section. To make Spock simultaneously flirty and logical is a huge feat and you made it happen so I tip my figurative hat to you. Second, I am so glad you allowed him to appreciate female beauty and sensuality in the way that any thoughtful man might. I enjoyed that he could see the beauty of all the dancers even though his main focus was his own lover. And Nyota wearing science blue as a secret little nod to him was a nice touch. This hit all the right marks. Now I'm going to go watch this dance.

I can not but applause your imagination. Two things make this story great in my eyes. First the dance itself and the way you describe it. Without knowing anything about it (I just now saw the original video in YT) I wanted to stand up and dance! So the dance sequence was very successful and transmitted enthusiasm. But the most difficult part - and where you scored A - is how Spock perceives the female dance. It is a perfect celebration for the female nature and given the fact that you still manage to keep him as always in character... I can't imagine anyone else writing this in a better way. And in the favorites it goes.

Gee, makes me want to break out my "Exercise: Bollywood Style" DVD, LOL! Having done the routines on the DVD, I know how well this type of dance strengthens and conditions, so I could see Starfleet cadets using it as part of their fitness regimens, just to mix it up a bit. This was fun. Thanks!

This was a very well written piece. Your characterization of Spock was perfect; his attempts to objectify his feelings toward Uhura were so on point, I couldn't help but chuckle. You also managed to tackle the present-progressive voice successfully. Very well written, and I appreciate the infusion of South Asian dances.
