Hi again, and thank you for another wonderful story. I really didn't expect to enjoy this story so much, but, well, I love it a lot and will definitely be rereading it soon. As I gathered, this is one of your earlier fanfics in the VPU, and I found that you are remarkably less brutal with Clint and the story is less dark here than the stories you wrote later. I like the theme of building trust, and I'm grateful to see Clint draw strength from Phil, from Natasha and gradually from Tony. Although I didn't quite like Tony in the movies, and couldn't see how he and Clint can form a bond that wouldn't be awkward before opening this story, you have written him exactly where he should be and he fits into this story so well! Tony is probably another reason that this story is less dark than the stories with only assassins, their dangerous missions and their toutured conscience. His slightly annoying coping mechanism definitely works on , and on a side note, I really want to know the story when Clint learned to cook!

Your stories are absolutely amazing! The way you built the character of Clint Barton is just perfect because I think that you've really captured the fact that Clint is a seriously clever and dangerous person (whereas others often portray him as just a funny character with no brains).
I have to admit that I've read all of the stories with Phil and Clint years ago - I literally couldn't make myself read the stories you wrote where Phil had passed away because it just tore my heart apart and made me cry because I just loved Phil's and Clint's relationship SOOOOOOO much.
As I'm reviewing this story, you might have guessed that I finally gave your other stories a chance - and while it still hurts to think about Phil's death and read about it's impact, this story was definitely worth it!
I love your writing - the action scenes are amazing (so detailed and I'm still able to follow although I don't know anything about Martial Arts) - and the way you develop characters, especially Clint and Natasha but also all of the other Avengers really gets to me - I can actually imagine them as real people (if that makes sense...). Plus all of your stories are so well-planned and captivating!
Whenever I start one of your stories I make sure that I have at least one (better two) uninterrupted days because I literally can't put it down until I've finished :)

I'm so sorry I haven't reviewed any of your other stories yet, but as I reread them I will comment if I have the time!
And if you happen to start a new story in the Vantage Point Universe I will definitely take the time to comment on every single chapter!

I'm in love with this story already! Your writing is absolutely amazing. A number of my ideas involve Clint but I could never write him to the standards you do. He's my favourite character and I've researched him a number of time but you shed a new light on who he really is.

This is probably the 3rd time I've read "Trust," but, coming off the heels of "Untold Stories," I've decided to go back and re-read some of your greatest hits! Especially since Clint & Tasha were in such a terrible, depressing place at the end of "Untold Stories," and I just needed to get them somewhere better. I'm doing "Heart Bleeds" next, which is one of my all-time favorite stories EVER. Anyhow, "Trust" definitely holds up on subsequent readings. You can see that you've grown as a writer since this was first written, but it's still a great story. It's fun to read through after having read later stories you've written, because you can see all the great "call-backs" to things that happened on previous missions in your timeline that you hadn't written about yet at the time this story was completed (which is such a confusing sentence to write, so hopefully that all made sense!). One thing I'd definitely like to see explored more (and I know I'm not the only one!) is the single line in chapter one about Clint's injuries received while protecting Nat's location. *Please* write that story/scene! Because Clint being tortured while refusing to give up Natasha is one of my favorite things ever! I think I remember you saying on your Tumblr site that you would tell that story some day, so just consider this another request for that very thing!

This is a really random thing to compliment you on, but I really love how you can translate your characters fighting styles into the action scenes. Like, a fight with Clint is entirely different than a fight with Tony. You make Clint more acrobatic and evasive, and Tony is more like boxing, using just some punches and kicks and his head- which is great, because they wouldn't have the same fighting style, and you pull off both of them. I just love how you manage to keep it exciting and differentiated and realistic.

Did you just come up with places for missions off the top of your head, or did you already have everything outlined by the time these earlier stories were ready to be typed up?

Just finished re-reading that one, and I have to say, it's even better the 2nd time around. I just love Hawkeye-Iron Man friendship.
