Really enjoyed how you had Gwaine come up with the perfect quest to honor their comrades. Percy may have finally gotten some much-needed closure. Then Gwaine sets his eyes on Merlin, who he knows hasn't finished his yet.

I see you are writing anymore but there are so few good stories with Gwaine and Merlin. Thanks for writing it.

This was absolutely beautiful. I love the knights being all brotherly and you captured their relationships and interactions very well. I was also torn up over Lancelot's death so in a way this helped me to grieve properly too haha. Overall, love it so much! Please write more.

Oh man, thanks for writing this. I just watched "The Darkest Hour," and this was exactly the sort of thing I needed to read. Kind of rips your heart out, but in a good way. Also, the knights' relationship is one of my favorite parts of the series-I mean, aren't they sort of ridiculous in their way, like a bunch of boys who nevertheless have this huge responsibility? They're a lot of fun to think about. It seems to me that you hit your stride in characterization around chapter 2, and from there it blossoms into something really warm and honest and cathartic.

Thanks for sharing this story :) I think you did a good job expressing the different knights' grieving, and it's interesting to see the story largely from Gwaine's perspective. I look forward to reading the rest :) Keep up the good work.

I loved this! Such a beautiful story! We need more Percy fics like this out there!

The ceremony with the roses was very touching. The part with the red rose helped give closure while the part with the white rose helped the participants focus on the future and what they still have to love for. I hope Percy, in particular, can move forward now. He was obviously grieving for his family still, as well as Lancelot.

Gwaine was right at the end, when he said Merlin should have been on the quest. It seems he can never mourn properly, usually because of the magic or Dragonlord issues, so it was sad that he missed out again. Still, it least it forced the knights to address each other's emotions (a role usually taken by Merlin).

It would be interesting to revisit the knights after the events of Episode 9.
