Aw, you've shown the change in her so nicely! :) She goes from killing him to doing everything she can to make sure he doesn't die...I really like the line 'and she fell in love with the Doctor through books' :) And the title :D

This is brilliant. :))) I love the way you've handled the whole "love" thing- I've always found it super sketchy that this woman who has supposedly had it beaten into her that love, compassion, reliance on other people, or basically any kind of positive emotion at all is a weakness apparently just FALLS IN LOVE with a man she had just tried to kill, simply because he was nicer than she expected and because he basically told her she would. I mean, what? She has to have like 4 decades plus of military training and trust issues imprinted on her brain, and she just instantaneously falls hopelessly in love with a man she's met once and barely had an entire conversation with?
