gaarasgirl389 chapter 1 . 2/7/2018 Wait. What happened to the ending? And well done on the old English. Damn hard to read and understand though |
deadbod1222 chapter 7 . 4/20/2016 That it? Well, it was good. Wish there was more. |
galimeril chapter 7 . 1/28/2013 Unbelievably well written! I had doubts when I saw the archaic speech patters but you pulled it off marvelously! I hope I get to read more! galimeril ;D |
Grimmlette chapter 7 . 8/5/2012 Oh tell me you'll continue this! The cadence of the words when you read them in your head strikes all the right notes, and it seems pretty authentic to me (though I haven't read Old English prose in quite a while). It'd be such a shame if we couldn't see how you style Sherlock as the Witch. |
Guest chapter 7 . 7/31/2012 Are you going to continue this? I was reading this while you were still posting chapters and I've been waiting for a while. It's okay if you're not going to continue or if you're taking your time on it and don't want to post just yet, I'd just like to know. I still love this story. |
Ariuna chapter 7 . 2/25/2012 God save. You haf ruined me. I have always been a terrible snob when it comes to fanfiction, but I think now that I will never read another fic that does not approach the high standard that "Westmoreland" has set. You know what I mean-the ones you read because you're a bit bored and the plot is alright enough that you can overlook a few errors in grammar and spelling? Yeah. I will never read those again. I hate reviews that just heap praise willy-nilly, because even the best fics usually have room concrit. But sadly I am no expert in medieval studies and can offer no help there (but from my layman's stance it seems brilliant!), so I am just going to heap praise. There. Also, John's reversion to his Northern patois made me blush. Find me a lover like that and send him my way pronto. And now for something completely different: did you know (of course you didn't; If you do, then I should be very afraid) that I spent a good deal of my early childhood insisting to the adults around me that when I grew up, I would be a knight? Despite the fact that I was of the female persuasion, not to mention the obvious difficulty I might have in convincing future employers of the relevance of my skill set? Well, by the time I was six or so I realized that such dreams were unrealistic. I would be a pirate, then. Oh, and do please come back and give us the rest of the story? I wait with baited breath. |
HaylisNocturne chapter 7 . 2/21/2012 This is so wonderfully written, with such meticulous care put into everything! I'm in awe - more please! |
anon chapter 7 . 2/20/2012 Oh gods, what a horrible cliffhanger. I'm brimming with anticipation! Let us hope an update comes soon! |
anon chapter 1 . 2/20/2012 Not only a Medieval AU, but magic and dialogue in an archaic language? Methinks this be my lucky day. |
rhain572 chapter 7 . 2/15/2012 I never thought to find any kind of fanfiction, or even an original story, based off of this relatively obscure folk song. This is a spectacular story, although I prefer Heather Alexander's version of the song to either Stan Rogers' or Archie Fisher's version. |
Callophilia chapter 7 . 2/9/2012 I love this. I love how much effort you've put into it and made it seem effortless. I love how you've not shied away from making the dialogue authentic for the time it's set in, I would have. A lot of work has gone into this and it's so, so good for it. I love your interpritation of John and the cameos of established characters throughout. I can't wait to see what you do with Sherlock. The plot and your writing have me hooked. Thank you for posting this, I really hope you continue and update soon! |
Catindahat chapter 7 . 2/1/2012 This is brilliant! I love the concept. Can't wait to read more. |
Zarra Rous chapter 7 . 1/27/2012 Well done. I'm a fan of your other story 'connection', and decided to see what else there was. I am now hooked on this one too. :-) |
Verboten Byacolate chapter 7 . 1/26/2012 Can I just... hope... that once, at least once, Sherlock will be in owl form, too? I very suddenly and fiercely need that in my life. Oh please. |
Verboten Byacolate chapter 6 . 1/26/2012 I've run out of halfway decent thoughts and must now fall back on simple flattery. You never cease to amaze me. |
