LouiseKurylo chapter 1 . 10/28/2014 Hope you're not tired of the compliments. Excellent sequel to your tag. Thank you. |
Lothlorien Aeterna chapter 1 . 12/10/2011 Loved it! |
Lisita chapter 1 . 7/1/2011 Great story! Very well written and the characters still sound like themselves even though we've never seen them in a situation like this before. I like it. I did have a question though. The conversation you mention at the end, about Jane always saving her and Lisbon replying that she doesn't need saving, I've heard mentioned in a few other stories as well but I can't remember what episode that was from. Could you possibly let me know at ? Again, it is a great story. Keep it up. Now I'm on to read part three. ~Lisita |
firstdown chapter 1 . 6/29/2011 I'm really glad you continued in this vein, and I liked this one just as much as "A Magician Never Reveals." Again, your descriptions are so crisp, of place and body language, their movements and expressions as they make their way along the river walk. You truly have a lovely way with words and paint a very clear picture on both physical and emotional levels. Very well done! |
hardly loquacious chapter 1 . 6/8/2011 Why did we not get this scene on the show again? Oh right, show is stupid sometimes. I like this. It's really good. And I wished we got to see it. |
Anna chapter 1 . 5/29/2011 I love it! |
Lizicia chapter 1 . 5/20/2011 An absolutely wonderful story. It fits in the canon of the show, what with after last night's finale and I absolutely loved it. It's subtle, easy and nicely paced and again, wonderfully charaterized. |
Jisbon4ever chapter 1 . 5/18/2011 "Don't worry, Lisbon. I won't do anything stupid while you're gone." "Well," she looked away and rolled her head toward her right shoulder. "Let's not get ridiculous."- lol I love how they can still do the usual bantering no matter what. This was a lovely story. If only we could see this more on the show. :) Either way, this was AWESOME! You did a great job writing this. Truly worth reading. Thanks for sharing. :) |
cheryllynn79 chapter 1 . 5/17/2011 Amazing! Loved every single word. You were very true to their personalities and the mood of this whole story matches the current storyline extremely well! Loved all the little details you were able to weave in. :) I've been catching up on all of your Jane/Lisbon fics in one fell swoop LOL & this is definitely a favorite! Thanks! |
mia66 chapter 1 . 5/17/2011 Magnifico! Pretty good! I can't wait to see the ending on season 3, but after reading this fic the anticipation has grown tenfold. Totally love/like how Lisbon and Jane got to talk; well Jane finally told Teresa what he has been keeping to himself and how Lisbon though felt a little of his betrayed she understood on a way Jane's actions. I like how Jane is allowing the team to come in to the play but also feel for him cause he may be feeling responsible for whatever happen to any of them and those last thoughts of him, about how much he may lose now were perfect. Thanks for this "sequel" from your first story and I hope we can read something after the end of season 3and the after math? |
Frogster chapter 1 . 5/17/2011 :O claps Now, if the season finale went like this, I would be one happy camper. Jane and Lisbon finally having their talk, plus their closeness and banter. :D Jane would try to make the question about whether Lisbon had a gun dirty. :P Finally he tells her about Todd Johnson. Given her reaction about Bertram, I'm starting to think that maybe it was a good thing that she didn't know about what Johnson had said at that given point in time-it might have hurt her more to have known, as you and Jane have insinuated. Of course, she needed to know...but maybe Jane was partially right about keeping her in the dark-just for a while. As for the quote that Bertram quoted, I'm wondering if the word "break" might possibly have another meeting. When I first read it, I thought it might mean that the dreadful night breaking was the last round beginning-like how "breaking out" is sometimes used to mean the sudden beginning of something. The part about the little heart waking is almost more intriguing. I'm betting something will happen as soon as these two realize and admit their feelings for each other. And he finally told her about the gun as well. I'm surprised at her reaction. Never thought Lisbon would freely admit that Jane might need to be armed. I liked Lisbon's "turning the tease" back on him. I love it when they're playful with each other, how they play off each others' comments. I think the last paragraph was especially poignant. I don't think he ever expected to care so much ever again. Excellent job! Write more soon! |
information specialist chapter 1 . 5/17/2011 Oh the angst...love how Jane justified calling Lisbon Teresa at the beginning, then continued doing so without even thinking about it. The fear on both their parts, all the details in this story which just seem to underline all the precious details of their interaction, their friendship, their regard and life in general. It's almost unintentional angst. They're comforting each other, not knowing what could happen, how long they have. I'm babbling...I'm just happy that you wrote this. It's a great lead to the finale and gives their friendship the weight it deserves. I really think while the writers built up the audience's trepidation, they dropped the ball by not showing the fear and worry Jane and Lisbon must be feeling if in fact they had "the talk" which by now it's sort of a given that they had. I for one, would have loved to see this fic be part of the show. I'm really starting to think that the element of surprise is overrated. But I guess come Thursday we'll find out. Is it natural to be as scared of it as Jane and Lisbon are here? Once again, thank you so much for writing this. More than spoilers, more than surprises, fans need this fic to remind them of what is now at stake; the lives and friendship of these characters we love; so precious they might as well be real. Guh. Way too emotional. I blame the full moon. |
xanderseye chapter 1 . 5/17/2011 Having read the other reviews of this fic I don't think I can add anything more, it was excellant and beautifully written. |
