Ahhh no tron! He's turning into rinzler! The HORROR :O on a side note, I really like the flashbacks. They seem like they should've belonged in the actually tron legacy movie. It sounds so real and it's like I can imagine it. I also really like tron's gradual change into rinzler. In all the other stories I've read, the change was immediate, and well... It just never gave that sense of growing dread that yours does. It's great actually. I heard that the mark of an amazing author is to have the ability to create an emotional response ;)

Just came across this story... and I have to say I'm enjoying it a lot.

I always figured that Tron's shift into Rinzler would have probably been a slow and painful one.

And I like how your really taking the time to focus on the motivations/positions of all the characters... It makes for an extremely interesting character study.

PS: I'm really not a Basics-Isos cohabitation fan, so I like how you managed to rationalize Clu's logic and how he was willing to trust Tron for support at first, I appreciate you don't (always?) present him like a sadistic murderer.

Oh, and, I have to admit that Alan's references and influence in Tron's processings tip (/tipped) the scales of my interest for your portraying of Tron; but after finding more imagination and skill in narration than I expected from the title, I begin to like the story for itself as well. So, I'll stay put for more.

Nira actions and character is bleeding well into the plot. I think I find her ok. Neither too nice nor too aloof, nor too self-centered. As you may guess at some point, I’m a nazi with OC, especially with OC pairings. But for now she seems realist enough, and I think I can like her.

I would only stress out two things that bugged me off a little about her - nothing big through – just about how she express her uncertainty in her last sentence in chapter 8: "Er… I-I'm Nira," I'm not sure, but they say dialogs are not to contain words like 'err' (I don't know how to call it), and it's better to just express the corresponding emotion through narration. The second thing is an expression Nira used during the interlude in chapter 7: 'Sure, Nira, just keep telling yourself that(...)' For some reason, it sounded strange for a program thinking to itself/herself as dealing with ego-psychology. I dunno, it sounds redundant.

I peculiarly like how Tron's transition to Rinzler is more progressive and easy to grasp. Clu's justifications for his intentions are clever; I hadn't read about such an explanation in any other fanfiction before; I don't know if it's innovating, but I know I'm impressed.

oooh, I sense some Rinzler. o.o I love the simple irony of him judging what the ISOs can be made into when he's slowly turning into something almost as bad.(I say almost since Rinzler is at least mildly under some kind of control, and as I understand it, Abraxas was not.)Anyway, excellent, engaging chapter! YAY! You updated! I'm so happy. And I love this chapter. I love how you mentioned Flynn not only bringing Tron into the new system, but Yori and Dumont too (though I do wonder how Flynn actually knows Dumont... I must watch 82 Tron again. It's been too long...). This makes me think they'll show up again. And if they see Rinzler instead of Tron...

And then there's Tron himself. And as you said, a little more of Rinzler. I'm loving the slow transformation. And I also wonder if Nira is slightly less nervous around Tron because she thinks the rectifying is working or is she less trusting of creepy Clu. Either way, I love it!

Why is it that I like my favorite character to suffer so much?

Oh wow... I've gotten into this habit of not looking for stories through here because so many are so bad... but this... *cries tears of joy* I LOVE IT! I love stories that focus on Tron being repurposed AND you don't have sex in this! Do you know how rare a thing that is...?

Anyway, I am in complete awe with how you're writing this story. Nira is cluless (hmmmm, pun?) about what's really happening but she seems like there is a chance for her to realise what's going on. Though it would probably be too late for that.

I've read some of what other people have said and they seem to have said everything I want to say. Although I'm sure you want to hear it again (I would), I just can't say it as well as some of them. So, I'll just say... you're doing an excellent job in writing my favorite character XD and I seriously can't wait for more.

This fic you wrote. :D I like it.

I haven't played Evolution, so it's hard for me to tell if you're making up a lot of stuff or just showing a rarely-covered side of canon. Either way, excellent job. Clu's rise from administrator to dictator is an interesting transition, and you make it seem more gradual than it's usually described. That he has to take it by steps, turning the populace to support him through propaganda and scapegoating, rather than simply forcing his will on the Grid, is an idea I don't see used very often, though you write it masterfully. It seems a bit weird that he's claiming Flynn's derezzed, when later he shouts anti-Flynn propaganda from the rooftops, but I suppose once he's in complete control, he can shout whatever he likes.

Nira's interestingly gullible. I mean, Clu gave her a decent story. And Tron hasn't said or done anything that would actively contradict it. But at the same time... Clu's standing there evilly mocking. He's not particularly subtle. Clu's locking his supposed friend in a torture machine and taunting him about his imperfections while he brainwashes him. And Nira knows what the machine does. The fact that Clu cares more about "returning Tron to a usefully functioning state" (her words) than about Tron's comfort, health, identity, or even survival should be a big warning flag right there. That Nira can persuade herself that no, it's necessary and right despite all evidence to the contrary... she's still got morals, but she's a bit of a coward about them. Though she admits as much, so it's not as if she's inconsistent.

I love how you've written Tron (don't think he's gone enough for me to say "Tronzler" yet). He's straightforward, but not shallow or one-dimensional. He also seems optimistic to a mildly ridiculous extent. He struggles against the repurposing, tries to escape, and is fully committed to both efforts. But in general... he's extremely composed. He hasn't been particularly agitated or panicky at any point so far-he seems to be acting on the assumption that he can or will succeed in getting away. At the least, he's not freaking out about the possibility of failure. I'm curious how that will develop as the story progresses, particularly as the Rinzler code becomes more active and actually begins to affect his systems.

Overall, great writing and depictions. You do an excellent job of balancing the internalized struggles with the external scenes/actions. Looking forward to more, whenever you have the time to create it.

Very artistically written to describe the solemn feel of Tron city after Kevin's "Death". I like how you have Nira witness what CLU is doing to the ISOs first hand with the derrezzing of that male program. I do eagerly await your next chapter!
