Hee! This is so lovely. A bit of Buffy/Angel fluff was just what I needed. Even though Buffy's the hero, it's always nice when Angel has an opportunity to save her, and then the last part was just so sweet and heartwarming. One thing I couldn't help wondering, though, was what happened to the copy of Sonnets from the Portuguese he gave her for her birthday. In the episode, he gave it to her shortly before the part of the conversation you included, and she dropped it shortly after getting attacked by those vampires.
