yay chapter 4 . 12/25/2011 These were all really in character. Drumknott's is my favorite. |
Guest chapter 4 . 1/31/2011 never read anything remontly drumknott/healstether before and i have to say im growing to quite like the pairing, or at least the way you write it. I loved the how you wrote throught drumknotts POV, the way he was itching to take down the hogswatch cards was priceless :D (plus the bit about margo's card ,that was nice) |
Shirakawa Myself chapter 4 . 1/30/2011 I love these one shots. The style is sufficiently like Pratchett's to not lose the Discworld magic that captivates all of us who love his books, but enough your own to ensure that your stories are original. I particularly liked the Polly chapter - I remember being mildly surprised and disappointed at the end of Monstrous Regiment that Mal was female! I guess I always sort of hoped that Polly and Mal were something more. Bertie Malich is a nice touch too :) |
Inkfire chapter 4 . 1/29/2011 I loved this :D Your character was... very special. They're all special, aren't they? You made a brilliant insight of the way his mind works. I loved how you inserted the other characters in there, how you handled the whole thing... It just flowed in harmony, and it was really easy to go with the flow and picture the scene, with every little detail going through so clearly - I think your way of handling the fic is actually what makes it really easy for someone who doesn't even know the fandom to understand and follow without trouble. Because it's really self-explanatory - everything we need to know is there, and yet not standing out too much - just present. Your writing is the very same one I adore - clear, flowy yet precise, with each word at its rightful place and sounding like it belongs here and nowhere else. Grand job, hun. I can't wait to see your muse fully come back, honestly. You're a brilliant author |
Twist chapter 4 . 1/28/2011 Ah, Drumknott. He's so wonderfully, adorably predictable. Well done, thanks very much! |
noodlecat chapter 2 . 1/8/2011 I think of all the chapters this one is my favorite, otto is hilarious and the ending is beautifull. kudos :D one other thing, i realise the festive season is strictly over and im being really cheeky by sugesting this but any chance of some Margolottta/vetinari in a later chapter? |
Thobbit chapter 3 . 12/23/2010 Aawww...those were wall very sweet and Hogswatch-y. Good cheer to all. |
Inkfire chapter 3 . 12/23/2010 (hums) Getting worse and worse... Well I did get the relationship dynamics! Which were the most important, and very moving and delicately done... (smiles) I loved how you described Mal's attitude, and the coffee part was really nice :) (I'm drinking tea right now!) Love you |
meggie272 chapter 3 . 12/23/2010 I really enjoyed both of the recent updates. William/Sacharissa was lovely. There were some perfect lines in there, like Terry Pratchett would write if he wrote slightly more romantic scenes. William's internal monologue on his love for her was just great. |
Linxcat chapter 2 . 12/21/2010 Very, very cute :) its strangely difficult to write William De Worde fanfiction - I've tried! - which is why there seems to be a distinct lack of it. Which is sad, because he is a very entertaining character, the awkward twit :P Anyway, I'm really enjoying this fic so far! Spelling and grammar are perfect, not something you can take for granted on this site, and your writing style is brilliant. Any ideas for who's next? Can I humbly/hopefully suggest Mr Lipwig? :D Hope to see you around the fandom in the future :) |
Inkfire chapter 1 . 12/21/2010 Once again didn't get a thing, and once again loved it all the same :) I especially loved the second paragraph with the description of... (looks again) of the master... it's funny not knowing the characters at all actually... and then the pudding, the remark about the oil and grime in the kitchen, the melancholy part in italics, and the ditty in the end. It really made me smile :-) (hugs) Love you loads |
Inkfire chapter 2 . 12/21/2010 (stares) You... you... you... you UPDATED! And something that's not even HP! And I didn't get a fucking alert for the first chapter! (starts reading greedily) (pauses to ponder that I don't know the fandom and therefore won't get anything of what's going on) (decides that I don't give a damn) (beams) (enjoys) I WAS on Hannah-writing withdrawal :D :D :D Loved this. It was really sweet and ironical, really really YOU, which basically means loveitloveitloveit, and I especially enjoyed the line in italics: "I'm not alright. You're wearing what looks like a pair of curtains and despite years of instruction on what constitutes "haute couture", despite the evidence of my own eyes... I've never seen anything more attractive in my life. Help me, someone, please." It summed the whole thing up brilliantly, and it was funny :-) Do you still have that Skins series hanging around your profile? I'll need them after I've watched season 1 (well, I still have to GET it...) and I know that you seemed willing to take it down... But I hope for your sake that you still have a copy somewhere, because this made me realize how much I REALLY love your writing... |
meggie272 chapter 1 . 12/20/2010 This could almost be Terry Pratchett's writing. A lovely mix of humour and solemnity. You are definitely a writer :) My favourite line was: "It was around this time that Albert could sense them the most, all the dangerous questions lining up unspoken inside that hood, all the ones beginning with little human noises like "why . . .?" |
