This is such a heartbreaking story. It was very well done! You did a great job of capturing a true sense of love. The last sentence was beautiful. :'-)

Aw geez, look what your good writing has done to me - I'm crying here! Brilliantly written, it wasn't cliché by being, for example, too Romeo Juliet. But at the same time it had just the right balance of tragedy and romance. Bittersweet, would be the word. I loved this, and I'm looking forward to reading more of your work :)

Very well-written. Not self-indulgent or over the top with the sorrow, just horribly bitter-sweet (like the story of the Warden and Alistair in general). Very fitting. And just so awful. I had tears in my eyes at the end, though they didn't fall.

I love this Alistair. He is wonderful. So heart-wrenchingly sad.

I'm with everyone else, I bawled like a little baby. Now I have to go read goofy Alistair stories to cheer myself up.

That was sad...I am speechless...I am now chocking up...I'm crying...but damn it was good!

Wow. Intensely written, Alistair's despair that Lya would be harmed, Lya's fighting to the last to keep him. Very sad. I kept hoping the archdemon would swoop in (then swooping would be good) and they'd have to let the wardens free.

That was excellent, very well written. Incredibly intense for such a short story. Well done!
