I think it's good. I find Nevel's character rather interesting, and even somewhat pitiful. Both of them seemed in character, which was good, and the length was decent as well. You had a good mix of descriptive paragraphs and dialogue, which is always hard to accomplish, so I applaud you for that.

Anyway, over it was a cute story. Hopefully you'll update soon.

Great story! I love exploring big cities at night (I lived in Manhattan for four months), and you described this one well. Nevel sneaking around Carly's alley under cover of darkness up to no good! I'm a little disappointed in Sam...as much as I enjoy glimpses of her sensitive side, it's a shame that this good deed was wasted on such a slimeball! I once had a cynical boss who told me, "No act of kindness ever goes unpunished!" so it will be interesting to see what direction this story takes if you decide to update it. Nice job!

I love the picture this first part paints. I can almost smell the urine in the streets. The part with the nurse is so epically Sam. I love it.

I'd love to see you go farther with thi. I can actually see Nevel going either direction on this. Either this will finally knock some of the evil twerpness out, or He'll think she was the one that attacked him (cause he know's she's strong enough and has that reputation) and he'll go after her to destroy Carly. It depends on whether or not you think Nevel has a redemptive quality. Oh. Love t
