Doesn't look like you are working on these story arcs anymore, or maybe even writing fan-fic at all. I am new to reading your particular stories and have been loving the whole Choices arc until I got to this chapter. I was having some difficulty with the frequency with which Bobby and Alex were getting shot, stabbed and in accidents. I know this is a personal issue and I will own that but in 9 seasons neither was ever shot or stabbed. I understand the need for conflict and tension but it is a bit much to be shot at and in the hospital for days to weeks and then have the same thing happen again within the arc. I like the character Denise and I am okay with her and Bobby being friends following their relationships however, any husband who doesn't understand his wife's concerns over that relationship doesn't deserve to have his wife at all. I have noted several people supporting Bobby and being critical of Alex and I am just the opposite. She is the one providing stability for their children. She isn't out taking care of ex-lovers, using drugs and alcohol to deal with her husband. Bobby is over 50 in these stories and needs to stop acting like a 12 year old. The use of alcohol and drugs to self medicate isn't Bobby either not just legal drugs either. He was a narcotics officer and just would not use illegal drugs to mitigate his anger. Anyway, I enjoy your writing style but I am done with this particular story and all of the ones that come after this and since you aren't contributing anymore to these stories that probably isn't important! Thank you for letting me air my grievances.

I have been getting very irritated with Alex. It's sad that a child has to point out what should be obvious to a seasoned detective about her own husband and partner.

You created a beautiful character in Denise. I've loved her persona and her unconditional love for Bobby and his children. I've respected her for moving to the sidelines and never attempting to interfere with the Goren marriage. I am sad to watch her die, but I'm confident that her departure will be moving, tender, and real. I'm happy that Alex has accepted their relationship. She has disappointed me sometimes in her relationship with Bobby. I am happy that they ate together, but she can be quite selfish, demanding, and inconsiderate toward her husband, especially knowing from whence he came. If you are still writing, I wish you would write some stories about Mike and Carolynas principal characters. Thanks again.

I get that Denise is your pet, but you really torpoed Carolyn's character (who I'm not in really fond of) for her. It's a real disservice.

I'm sorry, bur BOBBY'S been the one out and about drinking and being destructive. HE'S the one who has chosen not to be home with the kids. It's ridiculous to put that one Alex for going to her dad's or her sister's because the kids SHOULDN'T be around Bobby when he's in that type of mood.

I'd like to see one of these stories where Alex is the one to just give up - not leave him, but stop fighting him on anything and be what they all seem to want her to be - the complacent wife who let's Bobby rescue her and ho off and destroy himself without attempting to stop him because "that's what he needs" because "he has a darkness inside of him" only for them all to figure out that she wasn't so wrong. That without her fighting WITH him and FOR him that he can't handle life and he falls apart. I'd also like to see the kids drift away from Bobby towards Alex during this because I think it's important to show that Bobby's behaviour can and would negatively impact the kids...

I would like their relationship a lot more if you would have actually killed her off and let Bobby mourn and move on

First of all, I must say you have this ability to keep me reading now matter what - I just feel like I have to keep going and going until I get to the end.

Anyway, this was interesting, and a very different take on the characters - I like that they're complicated. They annoy me at times, but I can't stop caring about them (or reading about them as I've mentioned).

Like others have said, adopting Denise's baby seems a bit much. It feels as if Bobby is forever putting himself in a martyr position(which is interesting, as he and Denise seem to mirror each other quite a lot in this story re: their love/devotion to someone which they perceive to be a bit unrequited).

I really don't know what to make of this messy situation with Denise. The reveal of him sleeping with her up until the night before Alex's divorce was finalized was a shock, and I suppose it ups the emotional stakes. It would be very interesting to see Alex's reaction to this, as I can't see even the most confident and forgiving among us NOT having a problem with that, or at least being a bit jarred. If they adopted this baby, it would just be a constant reminder of Denise. As for healing, that could end up being as good for him as it is bad. Hmm.

As for more suggestions, it would be nice to see more of Carolyn (or an off-shoot series of Mike/Carolyn from this). Is Alex going to kidnapped by Jo in this AU? Or stalked by Mulrooney? Is Nicole going to show up just to mess with everyone? One of the things about AU's I like is how everyone is the same, yet very different in some aspects. It would be interesting to see some of these old familiar characters let loose in this universe.

It took me three days to get through this story and it was worth every minute. It was so wonderfully written that I hated to see it end! I'm going to have to keep reading your stories because now I'm used to staying up until 2am with my eyes glued to the computer screen! :)

beautiful! i really liked the scene in the hospital. just the right amount of pain and comfort without too much danger. i'm glad ross went along with leniency - i feel bad for that woman. but i have a feeling it'll be awhile before he and bobby are on the same page about very much. i also liked the scene where maggie snuck in just to see her dad. i love the bond between those two - it's as strong as ever! and it's good to see alex not giving bobby a hard time. it's upsetting when they are at odds. great story!

Awesome story, Infinity! This was a long, roller coaster of a journey to rescue and eventually love and nurture Harry. I love the side stories of Mike & Carolyn and of course my heart goes out to Denise and her plight. So many funny, sweet and poignant moments with Maggie and Bobby, I think I love those the best. Maggie is what Bobby would have been as a child if he were properly loved and cared for. Except he would be a boy. :D Thank you so much for this fiction, I know you have a lot on your own plate, and I'm always sending good thoughts for you and your family.
