You are doing really great for your first time writing, and I enjoyed both Mikaela, and Optimus very much in this story. I hope you do continue. I also agree with you that there is not enough ships out there with these two. Thanks for writing it and do not give up.

Aww, short and sweet! I kinda think Mikaela was gutsy and it was her relegation to "eye candy" that made her role seem diminished in the movies. That's why I love making her the star of fics, so she can SHINE. You did a good job creating atmosphere between them, though. Peter Cullen himself told me(when I gave him one of my fics as a gift) that Optimus is somebody that holds everything in. He doesn't always show what he's feeling. He almost has to be reminded that it's OKAY to feel. Maybe the same is true about Mikaela. That's something you'd have fun exploring, I'm sure. :)

I am a big Optimus fan and I quite liked your portrayal of his character. You kept him stoic and noble in just that short chapter. I hope you write more Optimus fictions, I will be happy to read them if you continue to keep them in character like this! Good short story well done! :)

Great story! I think you captures both Optimus and Mikaela perfectly! Don't worry about the doubt you have toward it, it's just the jitters that come with publishing your first story:) I think you did great, and should even consider writing more fics for this pairing because your right, there are not enough for this pairing as there should be! So again, great job:)

I don’t see why you can’t keep this going yourself. I know I started my own TF fic thanks to their being a lack of the sort of things I wanted to see in a story on here.

And while I adore the Mik/OP pairing I won’t write one. I have too much of a crush on the mech to shack him up with anyone (even myself since I loathe Mary Sues). Can’t help it, I’m the jealous type.

So go for it and hang onto the muse that got this out of you. The great thing about writing your own fic is you get to decide what’s going to happen and how. Yay some semblance of power!

Oh, and don’t compare your stuff to Cyndi’s. She is a god among fanfic writers and it would only get you down :p

I'm usually a shipper of Mikaela or Maggie with one of the Decepticon camp, but I gotta admit the Optimus/'Kaela ship's growing on me big time, so I wholeheartedly beseach you to continue and develop this into a multichapter. And for other OP/'Kaela stories...well, I have only ever stumbled on one - it was called "Stranded in the Dark" if I'm not mistaken.

That was good! I think you should continue, don't leave it here! Optimus and Mikaela make a good pairing. :-)
