It’s very rare that I come across a good fic that features Konan in it. The way you portrayed Konan as a character was spot on. Overall this was a wonderfully written piece.

I really enjoyed this. I especially liked the notion that the prospect of her life "after" was so much lighter and easier. It really twists the notion of "like after death" in an interesting way.

You know, it is a pain in the butt to find good Konan fics; and this qualifies as a good, yet short, story. It is rather sad; but it makes perfect sense for this to occur, even if it possibly didn't happen in the manga. The burning of the bodies I mean. It's a little choppy at the end, like choosing to burn the bodies was a whim. I like how the theme of Konan walking home alone was reaccuring in the shortness of the story. Overall, nice work.
