Guest chapter 1 . 8/10 Ah, This story. . . . On the one hand it is complete. However, on the other hand it seems to beg for more. Either way it is a good story. This is just me but I think I would like to see Trip pick T'Pol up, put her on his lap, and lean her head on his shoulder. Then he would hold her around her waist with one hand and with the other gently rub her back, sometimes patting it. He would also whisper into an ear "There, there," in a kind and loving voice. Yes, this may be dangerously close to treating her as if she were a child but at the same time it can also be a very overt demonstration of his genuine support. Trip cares for her and her feelings. She needs a "harbor pilot" to guide her through and around the constantly shifting human emotions. In a way all Vulcans do. Many of us deal with a rapid succession of emotions as well as highly focused single-mindedness then back to emotions. |
Lise chapter 1 . 7/28/2019 Holy cow this is amazing! |
shamour chapter 1 . 6/8/2018 Great work! Realistic characterization and dialogs. Thank you for sharing! |
NobodyToo chapter 1 . 9/9/2016 This story is practically perfect in every way! |
Auna chapter 1 . 10/28/2015 Oh, I love this. It's amazing. My favorite line- "...more than their bodies, they were undressing their souls." |
Jamieson Zed chapter 1 . 9/30/2012 This was a great story, very beautifully written. Thank you for sharing! :-) |
shallowness chapter 1 . 2/22/2012 One word comes to mind about this story: intimacy. The way you explore it and the relationship between Trip and T'Pol, and his realisations is great. I also loved the fleshed out nature of the story, the moments that embellished on canon. |
o chapter 1 . 3/9/2011 Well done |
Eleven11 chapter 1 . 9/3/2009 That was very well written, especially since I'm guessing that english isn't your first language. It was indepth and it was very insightful into the way the Trip and T'Pol think. You've done well. All I can say, is keep it up |
bluedana chapter 1 . 7/16/2009 I like this story, it has a good "feel" to it. Telling it from Trip's point of view of course lends a million opportunities for humour and insight, but you also manage to convey T'Pol's social awkwardness and show how much she'd grown since Broken Bow. It fits neatly into the story arc, something that's more difficult to accomplish than it looks. I also liked the backstory on Masaro, it nicely sets up Terra Prime so that that episode doesn't feel so out of the blue. I'll forgive you for the lawyer joke, but only because T'Pol's guess was priceless: "Uncomfortable?" Nice job. |
Honeybee1111 chapter 1 . 7/15/2009 I really like this story - the beginning of the xenophobia that was saw come to a head in Demons is very well portrayed. |
biancaruth chapter 1 . 7/15/2009 Absolutely beautiful. |
Dreylin chapter 1 . 7/14/2009 That was fantastic. I'm definitely going to have to read anything else of yours I can find. |
jayJ530 chapter 1 . 7/14/2009 I love this story. You got the characters just right. And there really should have been something between Storm Front II and Home because it felt like suddenly those two had more of a relationship than they had had before. This peice does a great job of filling in the gaps. |
The Middleman chapter 1 . 7/13/2009 This is the second time I have read the story, the first time being on Triaxian Silk, and I liked it even more the second time around. I was always interested in what Trip & T'Pol's relationship was like between the episodes "Countdown" and "Home" and your story is a wonderful fill-in of what we never had the chance to see on Television. I also wished that we had the opportunity to see the crew's attitude towards the romance between Trip & T'Pol (or Archer's reaction for that matter); Thank you for giving us that glimpse (particularly Archer's surprise about T'Pol being ticklish; priceless). As I said on Triaxian Silk, this story has all the makings of an epic, you should really develop it. |
