I can ignore the "magic not curing a cold" thing for the sake of the premise of the story, but Holly's been alive for 80 years and knew about dolphins before the first book. Not to mention that the People have a vested interest in protecting all the animals and forests they can because they can literally talk with animals, so you can't just say "they don't know about above ground animals". |
