Lord Macnaughton chapter 4 . 1/23/2017 "Which definitely won't take as long as this one did to arrive" somehow I find that hard to believe. |
Eipok chapter 4 . 9/13/2009 I really like it so far. Great idea. Update soon. |
Gamov chapter 4 . 7/23/2009 Ah, good to see this story has not been forgotten about, good sir. Aside from this chapter seeming shorter than previous installments, it was still thoroughly enjoyable. Thankfully Fulton is one of those smart grunts who sees option 3 when everyone else is stuck on 1 and 2. Haha. Hope you don't wait so long before posting the next chapter. I'm eager to see who else has survived thus far aside from Issac and Fulton (who I have a sneaking suspicion will die soon.). |
Speelns4luzarz chapter 4 . 7/20/2009 dude, it's all in underline. you might wanna fix that. BP3 |
Subtlepasta chapter 3 . 4/4/2009 That is awesome! I can't wait to read the next chapter. |
Dark Schtroumpf chapter 3 . 3/1/2009 It's good. Really. Some shades of Aliens. I'm looking forward to more ! |
MusicGamer chapter 3 . 2/25/2009 Holy crap...This is good! I think you managed to implement aspects of both Halo and Dead Space really, really well. Definitely scared the sh*t out of me. Good work! Keep it up! |
Gamov chapter 3 . 2/6/2009 Ah, a fine chapter, sir! I found the combat to be very engaging and well written, easily capturing the chaos and havoc that ensues when the Necromorphs attack. I also enjoyed the comedic contrast you offered at the end with quiet elevator music defining the end of Isaac and Fulton's first scrape with death, it did manage to illicit a chuckle in me as I envisioned the scene unfolding. As always, keep up the good work and I am eagerly waiting the next chapter. |
Apoc326 chapter 3 . 2/5/2009 A good chapter, but was the underlining necessary? My eyes are kinda bleeding right now... |
Speelns4luzarz chapter 2 . 1/15/2009 as i said down the road to you the other day, nice work. keep going with this one. |
Apoc326 chapter 2 . 1/6/2009 Great concept. As far as grammar and such, you're only issue is that you forget an apostrophe here and there. Other than that, it's near perfect. Issues with the Halo side of this: FTL comms don't exist, I think in "Ghosts of Onyx" they mention that it isn't possible, that's why they built a cannon that fires small spheres through Slipspace to their destination. An easy fix would be to explain that the Elites, who did poses the tech, gave the technology to the humans. Slipspace doesn't require jumps. This isn't Star Wars or Battletech. Slipsapce travel for all races takes a lot time, that's why they created the cryogenics pods all UNSC ships have. Give the Marines some credit. UNSC personnel are hardened professionals. Never once in the novels or games were they this coarse, this ready to head into the unknown. The war should have taught them that. ...Ok... that was REALLY critical, but I thought I should review as asked. |
Gamov chapter 2 . 1/4/2009 Ah, I like how this is going. My money says the Sinj will probably survive the longest of any of them. Or get killed in the first five seconds of contact with the Necromorphs, its a 50/50 shot. lol ;) They should be crash landing on the Ishimura any time now, so all hell is bound to break loose soon. That will be cool to see how the Marine's fair against the enemy. I just hope Cromwell's attitude doesn't get people killed unnecessarily. Looking forward to the next installment. |
Gamov chapter 1 . 12/28/2008 I like this idea. I will say that Dead Space has replaced many other games as my favorite horror game. The atmosphere was ultra creepy and always had me checking every corner at the slightest noise. And the Necromorphs, yeah they seem like a cliche cross between the Flood and zombies, but they are brutal and relentless. Both of those key elements you've captured quite well here. Reading even Swanson's momentary collapse into madness leaves me wanting more. It will be interesting to see how other characters fair in this environment. I'll be keeping my eye on this one. |
He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Lame chapter 1 . 12/17/2008 Interesting idea, Dead Space is definatly one of my favorites. Though I'm wondering how far you plan on taking it, Dead Space was basically confined to a single area after all, unlike Halo. Only now that I think about do I realize the similarities to the Flood that the Necromorphs have, strange. In other news, i'll be deploying in support of OEF soon so I won't be able to review this or Otherworld for some time most likely, so best luck on getting past that writers block. |
