M, my first piece of Discworld fanfiction, and I must say, I did pick a good one. _ I came on here because I was seeing Vimes/Vetinari and trying to figure out how it would work, because unlike with most slash pairings, I can also see Vimes definitely loving Sybil, too. I think you did a great job with the pairing, though. _ Thanks for writing it!

Love this! Think you got Vimes's cynicism and suspiciousness spot on and there were some truly wonderful interactions between Vimes and Vetinari that I reckon would give Mr Pratchett a run for his money. Slightly surprised at first that Vimes didn't get a bit more worked up about Vetinari wasting police resources, but then I thought about what they'd... ahem... just been doing, and reasoned that it probably isn't surprising that Vimes isn't feeling quite so aggressive as usual! Very cleverly worked little piece.

You know, I hate the pairing (I'm just weird like that. In every fandom I tend to dislike the most popular slash pairings) and I still liked this fic. That's pretty impressive. Quite well-written and surprisingly in-character.

That must be the best Vetinari/Vimes post-coital interaction /ever/. It might just be the best Vetinari/Vimes interaction ever, for that matter.

In any case, this was great and extraordinarily in character.

Typically, I am not a huge fan of this pairing. However, you made it work as much as I think it can, and their conversation was pretty interesting anyway, all slash aside. In fact, it worked so well without the slash, I'm left wondering why you bothered with it at all, since those bits of the story seemed like little asides in comparison. But whatever, I still enjoyed the fic, anyway. I'd like to keep seeing pieces from you. :)
