I love this story...just finished re-reading it. It is my favorite SW story and possibly my favorite of all my 62 favorites - and I have several "Luke and Mara" favorite stories. Yours is the best. I am currently reading "Vision of the Future", so I will cross-reference with your story. I loved the part in your story where they were in Karrde's suite and Luke was "playing" with her and distracting her while she was in her robe trying to interact with the guy who brought the food - Luke was so cute there!

There are definitely not enough stories out there like this. Luke and Mara are, by far, my favorite Star Wars couple, but they seem to have gotten so little EU time compared to Han and Leia. That's actually what got me into fan fiction in the first place, to read stories like this that tell what happened between the 'official' stories.

I loved your characterization of everyone, seeing Luke and Mara become comfortable with one another was fantastic. Having them try to keep their relationship a secret until they can tell Han and Leia was fun, and Karrde seems to end up being the James Bond type in just about any story he's end. I can't explain it, but regardless of author, he's always so smooth.

All in all, I really enjoyed reading this and hope you consider writing more, after all there's always the honeymoon.

The only thing I'm not sure I agree with is the rating, I'd probably put this at a T, not an M (especially if you see what a lot of the M stories contain). If you do change it, I think you'd get a lot more readers, as M stories are omitted normally, and this story deserves a lot of traffic.

Cute chapter. Kind of short, I think. Of course, I'm nit really paying attention. I'm watching Hostage Crisis. It's the last episode in season one of the Clone Wars. I can't help but wonder why, after Anakin is thrown in with the captured senators after being stunned by the bad guys, why is Senator Chuchi, of Pantora, the one who is sitting with Anakin's head in her lap and is taking care of him when Padmé is right there? I can't get that question out of my mind, and it's driving me up a wall.

i love your story. i so would love to see Lando's reaction to Mara and luke's engagement. i always was anoyed with Vision of the future because you never saw anyones reactions to the engagement.
