All these little Maliver stories are very nice and well written

Interesting chapter, this one and the last. You would think if she learnt nothing else from Inara than if you want Malcom Reynolds attention you do not go around entertaining other men.

The first twenty-three or twenty- four chapters are some of the most delicious build of tension I have ever read. Your command of River's voice is more than admirable. I have not read a lot of Mal/River fic, but I feel as though perhaps I neednever read any more, because this is so satisfying.

I know you wrote this ages ago but I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I have enjoyed it. I am new to Firefly fandom and fell in love with Mal/River almost immediately. As I have gobble up as much Firefly fic as I can, I find myself using this fic as a benchmark for Mal/River excellence. You have a wonderful grasp of River's voice and a talent for giving the rest of the characters exactly what a reader needs from them while still maintaining your chosen POV. Your perspective on Mal is exact and you didn’t use the words “Special Hell” at all! (Hurrah) Your touches of Zoe throughout this piece are superb. The line about the dinosaurs is one of the best I have read in any fic and any fandom. Thank you for sharing your work.

This is such a great tale, just started reading tonight and while I've wanted to give feedback on every one of the first six chapters but have been too sucked in reading. I've really loved the conversations and interactions between River and Mal, Inara and River, wonderful stuff. looking forward to reading on to see how Mal and River's relationship grows/changes with Inara gone.

Staid up way to late to read this whole thing in one sitting. This story is was just too addicting. The voice you gave River is so vivid and just makes the story so compelling. Amazing job.

Amazing. The best Mal/River I've read so far and I don't think I'll find better. I wish you'd keep writing these two. You do them rare justice.
