Absolutely beautiful story. I loved it.

Even though this is an older entry, I'd like to say that this was probably the best one shot I have ever read. Heck if this was in the anime, I'd make so much more sence than what they did to explain the zork and thief king in the ring, even the manga for that matter.

Though I want to have Bakura and Marik come back now, so sad...because no matter how many times I read the manga, they won't. Same with yours...

And yes, an evil Ryou occasionally is a very good change, nice job on him. That very well might be why I like this so much, he seemed to be developed into the evil tormentor, not just Poof I'm evil now.

Anyway, good job, loved it, and I think a sequel of sorts would be much appreciated

with all the twists you worked, i don't know what i love more. i'm always on the lookout for a good evil!Ryou and i love how you worked him up to it. everything you did to the Thief King seems both odd and believable, even the other bearers abusing him. it was so sweet to see him practically canon when he's protecting Ryou! even the twists with IT feel right, Bakura somehow managing to break free of IT, all his schemes were to prepare yami for the final battle. a few thousand years sealed up with a dark god, you either find out the truth or give up, and even your 'nearly broken Thief King Bakura' wouldn't. -

and the revenge, that even Malik was involved, beautiful!

my only complaint is there was not smex, but overall story-wise it makes sense that there wasn't.

Damn I love Gemshipping XD and Yuugi getting his ass tortured! The anime is all Woo-happiness, so this kinda thing makes a nice change.

Oh, wow... this story is by FAR the best Yu-gi-oh fic I have ever read... I realize that the best reviews are of constructive criticism (well, at least they are for me, but I can find nothing wrong with this. The writing style is AMAZING, and it is a very refreshing and original way of looking at the Bakuras. Usually, the whole 'Zork factor' is completely ignored, but you actually included it- even if your story had completely sucked (which it did not), I still would have faved it just because you actually remembered him.

I especially like the very end... I would ask for a equal to see exactly what happens to yugi, but it is perfect on its own.

This gets 5 dark magicians out of 5!

Holy... Whoa! Most of the story I thought that they'd get a happy ending, then the Thief King disappeared. Then Ryou went nuts. Then Yuugi... Just, whoa. This was awesome, and... I think I'm in a bit of shock.

This is good!and the idea is jist what would explain the hole Zork thing in the series...because otherwise it really makes no sence if you actually think about it.

But I refuse to acsept Bakura...The Thief King is actually gone...

Now I'm depressed...you made me cry most of the las half...well all the last half...and I don't want to hate Atemu but I do have grudge aginst all the others who never even bothered to think of why The Tief King did what he did ...'walk a mile on his shoes' you know.I particularly hate Anzu!

This story is amazing! (and here I am revewing for a two year old story. XD) The plot is actually kind of simple, but it's well thought out and doesn't get boring at all even though it's such a long fic. I love how Ryou turns so evil, and everything seems pretty realistic to me. The ending is terrific, though, because it leaves a wonderful sense of forboding. Makes me want to look out the window and make sure Ryou hasn't taken over the world yet. :D

Oh Ryou! Im so proud of you and so is Bakura. I should know. Show that miget. Malik was deprived of that privalege for to long! Nice touch with Honda and Anzu. A sequel would be sweet. Please do one.
