You have to have Naqudah(wrong spelling) in your blood in order to operate a ribbon device. (ie. Be a Goa'uld/Tokra or have one die in you)

I really like this story, though. I'm a still a little confused but everything seems to be coming together. I'm looking forward to the next update.
