I think this chapter was a little bit weaker. The bit about them instantly curing cancer was... fine? But it certainly felt like a detour. I'm not convinced the Colonials would let someone with terminal brain cancer remain in command, it can cause adverse symptoms that you don't want in a commanding officer.

It also feels like Naruto massively jumped the gun here. He revealed the existence of the transporter, which is a pretty big deal, and the extent of Federation medical capability. I know the Prime Directive was discussed last chapter, but it didn't really seem like conclusions were arrived at. The Wolverine is one ship with a small crew well beyond the distance where a return to Federation space is feasible. They need to decide if they're going to try anyways, or stay, and what their relationship with the local powers like the Colonials and Cylons will be. Until those decisions happen, it feels like being as open about their capabilities as Naruto was here is not the most logical step. The woman wasn't at risk of immediate death from her cancer, and access to Federation medical technology is a reasonable part of possible future negociations.

As for the civilian contractors, it seems unlikely someone that mercenary or rabble-rousing would be part of a group building a prototype, top secret experimental hot-warp ship. I'd expect those people to be security and psych screened like crazy! And Naruto could easily justify keeping them on-board even after their contract expired as a means of protecting Federation interests; there's no treaty established allowing migration between the Federation and the Colonials and those construction people are privy to classified information about Starfleet technology.

I suppose I think the events of this chapter felt rushed. Things that probably would have happened eventually, but it feels like the immediate Cylon situation and the nature of the relationship between the Colonials and the Wolverine should have come first.

Given that this is happening in the BSG area right now, Naruto should take a page out of the show's books and execute the mutineers. He obviously doesn't hesitate to end a threat, permanently if needed, and there would be no way for him to imprison them long term and mutineers would be long term prison sentences.

Having said all that, I'm happy and sad for this chapter. Happy for how everything is playing out and sad that Adama and Rosilin obviously aren't going to be a thing. I liked their relationship.

While I loved the chapter I question your idea for naruto dress uniform, also when has Starfleet or Vulcan used a cap with their uniforms?

I mean I get you don't have much to work with those uniforms from the motion picture still being used.
