Thanks for the story. That could be my husband and me. He’s retired law enforcement, and I’m a retired teacher. We get on each other’s nerves but we are quite lucky right now. We have somewhere to get outside and garden and to walk.

This chapter was both unsettling and entertaining from Merry's fate to hidden showtunes in the dialog. Wherever you take this next I can not imagine and most certainly will read eagerly. Stay safe everyone in Lewis land.

Darkness mixed with Robson humor-well done

We are all affected by the virus in different ways. And all over the world, the governments are dealing with the pandemic in different ways. Most of us "average people" are staying at home most of the time and cannot do very much. Others volunteer to help in hospitals, in the neighbourhood etc

Sad but Very Good!

Oh! this was great and at times shockingly close to the bone - at first I identified with Laura and Robbie with regards to the irritating habits, but then, like in real life, it all became trivial in comparison to other events. I was truly shocked with what happened to Merry, and I enjoyed how even poor Osborne has been affected. Thanks for posting. Lets hope that things turn brighter both here and in real life. . .

I must admit I was a bit afraid to read this story as you could have taken us in a dark and dramatic direction, especially given Laura's line of work. But I never should have doubted Hobsonfan, who wrote an edifying tale of Robbie and Laura coming together to help their community. I can totally picture Laura bragging about her specialist subject of hand washing- very true to form. You do well appreciating Robson's altruistic impulses. As well as the rumpy-pumpy impulses! (Aside- no reviewer should ever tell an author to stick to a subset of holiday fic. The whole point of fanfiction is to explore uncharted territory, which is definitely where we are right now.) So I thank you, Hobsonfan, for sharing your comforting gift once again. Be well, all!
