I really enjoyed this take on a character that many are willing to overlook. This was a good read and made me think about life, and who people appear to be, versus how they actually think. Thank you!

This is amazing. I kinda feel bad for Bob.

Great story here, and yeah, you did a cool job developing Bob's character and background.

The thing about Bob is that he believes on hard working, but he has problems at adapting. He'll do things his way until they work out, even if it would be smarter to do some changes.

Keep the good writing.

Awww, this story was sad, but, an excellent picture painted here of what Big Bob's life was like growing up, and why he is the way he is as an adult on the Hey Arnold series.

The stubborn drive and total lack of self-introspection perfectly sums up Bob’s character. He never so much as thinks about his family when he moves out. I thought the “do good” line was going to come back in some hamfisted way, but it doesn’t. No, that’s over and done with, because from his point of view, his mother never cared enough. But, clearly Bob cared, really only about certain people. Miriam feels energetic at first, then suddenly she’s run down and Bob cannot understand why. After she is born he tends to associate events with what grade Olga is in. That’s a nice touch. And lastly, Helga. He clearly has mixed feelings about her, and he’s totally blind to her intelligence. But he does care in some small way. Very good work.
