This is an adorable story that leaves me wanting more! I do enjoy slow-burn romances!

I like how you've added believable OCs, and also tied in events from Season 2 with Retsuko's mother. I'm wondering if any other S2 characters may be introduced later on?

All the drama with Hiro and Mrs Doi is intense and exciting. Although I do hope Mrs Doi turns out to be okay. I really like her.

Hopefully Restuko works her feelings out soon. You've left us on a bit of a cliffhanger there! XD

I'm at an emotional speed bump right now, there's a new chapter here but I just can't enjoy it right now ;-;

I woke up this morning to find one of my family's kittens had died suddenly in the night, he wasn't ill or acting oddly before that! He was just here yesterday and gone today, my Charlie-Boy ;(

This is a good chapter! I have a theory who gave Fenneko the flowers, but you could still surprise us. Nice work again, hope the next chapter isn’t too long a wait!

It was along wait for the next chapter, but not nearly as long as some others here. Anyways, nice chapter. Mrs. Doi is a sweet person to think of Haida like that. Also, the inclusion of Retsuko’s mother makes me think that there will be some season two influences added here. Nicely done.

To her credit, it's a very important question to ask. Retsuko wants to make sure that she cares about Haida and not just for what he can potentially do for her. It's a question that not enough people ask these days.

Just ... wow! Every new chapter I love this story all the more, the interactions between the characters are all so believable, this chapter in particular (Retsuko and Haida plus Retsi’s mom aside of course) I just adored Mrs Doi’s scene! Haida’s been so nice to her and she’s been like a grandmother to him, it’s so sweet I think you gave me cuteabetes!

I suspect that part of the reason that Retsuko's mother wasn't being her normal pushy self might have had to do with the fact that Haida reveled more about his character then he might have believed with both the fact that he had swung by (and the reasons for doing so), as well as with the conversation about Mrs. Doi.

Looking after your own elders (be they parents or grandparents) properly is a trait that I know for a fact is highly valued and respected in Japanese culture (I mean, other cultures do as well, but I'll be the first to admit that it's not as ingrained in western culture). But looking after and spending time with an elderly woman who happened to be your neighbor simply because you enjoy their company with no alter motives...

I think it's safe to say that Retsuko's mother approves of what she's seen so far.

By the Death Metal Gods I love-love-LOVE this story! I just binge-watched Retsuko Season 1 & 2 (plus the Christmas Special) and now I'm wondering why it took me so long to watch this! I went looking for Aggretsuko fanfics and yours is now my very favourite!

I was so disappointed our little Red Panda turned down Haida in that Season 1 finale ;( but now I can stop wondering "what if they dated?" And your story is just so fun, adorable and believable to boot! I love it! Expanding on Haida's family was a nice touch, I like Hiro's character and can relate to feeling overwhelmed by a school schedule.

Also I love Mrs Doi and the little secret of her teaching Haida how to make the sweet buns, so very cute!

But most of all ... I LOVE that Haida got to see Aggretsuko in all her rockin' glory :D

Just an amazing story from start to now and I really can't wait to read more! I know real life must take priority, but please say you'll update in future? I really hope you do.
