This was certainly a ride through and through for this story. Admittedly there was many things that I liked how you wrote, the terror that Star and Marco faced with the curse, the mirror and how it was handled, the description of many things in here are golden. I did like the little touch of wrapping up everything you could.

Bonus on not just pushing for the ship, and letting things be much more natural as everything went on.

Now was it perfect? Shamefully, no. The last few chapters felt a bit...lackluster to say the least. Mainly concerning how Star fought fate and won. And while I did like how you tied up every loosen end possible...some of those loose ends I feel like shouldn't exist, like Lily's soul being tied to Fate, felt like an honest push for a happy ending with her.

Overall, I do like this story. Really an enjoyable read as I really love long horror theme storylines like this that play on psychology side of things.

Omygod, Star you’re a freaking genius

I’ve been binging this fic and wanted to leave one huge review at the end of chapter 81. After this chapter, I decided to break that promise and tell you that you’re a horrible person and I love it.

It took me... what... 8 - 10 hours to read this from back to back. Yikes, quite the story you got here. Maddeningly good.

it was a fucking rollercoaster. although, I've never ridden on a rollercoaster. if I ever do, I'll be disappointed if it's not as good as reading this was.

Ok. I have lost track of the chapter number, but like this is fing amazing. It even got to the point where I have a nightmare about the red eyes. Like Marco and star are basically dusting off their shoulders compared to what I would do if all of the sudden red eyes filled the streets.

You say not to take what you have written seriously and is for us little "sheep"to enjoy the story as is and not take it politically...but I actually see this story as that of a biblical exposition. Basically "the path to Hell is paved with good intentions". It's a wonderfully written story (though certain words aren't used by eighteen-year-olds and are probably hard to understand formost who read this) but I feel as if you've contradicted yourself in some instances. I'll continue reading until the end (I've been captivated by the plot) and I hope that you continue writing.

Definitely one of the most refreshing Star Vs the Forces of Evil fics on the site. I gotta admit I wasn’t too sure about it at first and even part way through I thought it might be a little too heavy for my tastes but I’m glad I stuck with it. The eventual conclusion and the way everything wrapped up was very satisfying and I’m happy that I read it.
The thing that I enjoyed the most about this fic was absolutely how seriously the material was treated. I love this show and I think the plot, characters, and lore have a lot of untapped potential in the Fanfiction department. Too much fluff and random stuff. Not that that’s totally a bad thing but yea it’s a little overwhelming. This story was very refreshing in that regard. Almost like a lovecraft story mixed with a mystery.
I have found the Svtfoe fic with the best plot so far. Now my next mission is to find the one with the best characters. No offense to your portrayal of these characters but by the end they sounded so analytical and detached it could be hard to associate them with the original. But that’s not exactly a bad thing and it makes sense in the context of the fic. Anyway the point I’m trying to make is that next I think I’d like to read a fic in this fandom with interesting character development minus the existential dread haha. I enjoyed your fic immensely but I can only handle this kind of stuff every once in a while.

I honestly have no idea why this does not have way more reviews than it has. You have such a compelling story that I was genuinely excited to read each chapter. Although the story was a little confusing at times, it was enjoyable to go through everything and take note of all the little details that started to make sense nearing the end. Okay I am not sure what this chapter was about but killing someone is different to letting some one be killed if eclipsa lied and convinced the queen that she was safe it would be different but there it was pretty much the queens own arrogance that got her killed.
Also morals are perspective which I think you are trying too express here but I'm not sure it applies to this situation too well because there were plenty of hints that she knew what was going on and purposefully ignored it which would make her guilty of treason since her it's her responsibility to look after her people. What do they think would happen if she was imprisoned? She wouldn't stay imprisoned the sentence for treason is usually execution so she would have died anyway.

Amazing story, this has gotta be one of the best stories I've read in a long time.
