Hitomi Valentine chapter 1 . 11/8/2017 I don't think I've cried that hard over a fic in a long, long time! |
EJeanTheCat chapter 1 . 9/12/2017 That was amazing. It made me cry, it made me laugh, I fistpumped at least once. Grimlock Prime was amazing, and it broke my heart to see what became of Ratchet. I suddered in horrer when Streetwise found the remains of Skywarp's ill-fated jump and I cried when Sideswipe forgot Sunny. Wheeljack was a mad scientist to the bittersweet end, and of course Starscream found the perfect way to annoy Megatron till death did them part. I wish could go through all the ficlets one by one but it's to late tonight. You're an amazing auther and thank you for writing this collection. |
Ice Drop chapter 1 . 7/3/2017 This is such a unique story. So well written, and very poignant. |
Little Kunai chapter 1 . 5/10/2017 Interesting to see how each one takes to aging. I was generally shocked at some of the ones who mellowed out. |
Triscribe chapter 1 . 2/21/2017 DO YOU REALIZE HOW MANY TIMES I STARTED CRYING WHILE READING THIS?! I HAD TO TAKE BREAKS ONLY TO COME BACK AND A COUPLE SECTIONS LATER START CRYING AGAIN! Absolutely beautiful stories, though. Heartbreaking, but beautiful. |
Alphabeat chapter 1 . 2/16/2017 I couldn't read it when it finally got to Rung... I'll have to resume it later. |
Miratete chapter 1 . 2/6/2017 OMG... That was one amazing and emotional read. It was a touching story, all these characters dealing with their frustrations, their infirmities, their disabilities, their histories, their losses, their successes, their inadequacies, and their failings. And yet there was still fire and desire and love in so many of those old sparks. And the way it ends, with Grimlock's and Dragstrip's tales, it gives all those ancient warriors a sudden and modern relevance for their own people. Their lives and sacrifices won't be lost and forgotten anytime soon. |
Need2Scream chapter 1 . 1/9/2017 This is humorous, haunting, and poignant. I'm so glad your friends found these pieces for you. Streetwise, Knock Out, Silverbolt, and Bob brought tears to my eyes. Perceptor, Jazz, and Soundwave were delightful and painful. This is an abolute joy. |
Thunderweb chapter 1 . 1/7/2017 It must be sad to watch things falling apart, but I would have to cope with. I wonder what I will become when I get old like them. |
R.S and Rascal chapter 1 . 1/5/2017 Why is there no Ratchet? |
Samaritan Prime chapter 1 . 1/3/2017 Wow. Just.. Wow. Grimlock's was interesting. He, oddly enough, ended up like Kup- that old timer that remembers the way things were before the war broke out- and is going to slagging DO something about it. In typical Grimlock fashion, that something is becoming the new Prime. One can only imagine the conversation Optimus Prime had to have had with Grimlock. Skywarp's story, however, was the most tragic of them all, and at the same time, the most heroic. See, Skywarp is often said to be a coward, so to willingly risk his life for someone else- I can't think of a better way to go. Well done. Added to Favorites. |
keeperofcoldtoes chapter 1 . 1/3/2017 Heartbreaking in many ways, but intriguing and uplifting in others. All together it mixes into something beautiful. Something about the narration too made it into a dream-like experience for me. I made the choice to read it during work, and afterwards it made my remaining shift interesting in that I couldn't help but feel strangely peaceful and nearly giddy to be there (a feat, I tell you). Such an excellent work, this one's going in the favorites. |
Larisareader chapter 1 . 1/3/2017 I have something to add :) I think the topic of the ficlets is absolutely amazing. There were deaths from diseases, war and crimes victims - but there are so few outlooks that peaceful life and death from aging might be like for transformers... After reading them all, I can't even tell who - in my opinion - is the worst suffer. Starscream is quite close to the top though. Oh, he feels great - physically. But he is treated like a ghost of himself by new people around him. And people - for whom he is real - they are fading and dying, taking their knowledge with them. I'm in awe of many angles of view and proportions how different mechs balanced their personality on active socializing or establishing images of themselves based on their business achievements. When it comes to comprehending of meaning of death - I think it is what really fills the meaning of life. Life is non-death. But living is limited by a set of opportunities that a certain society puts on every member of this society. And real experience of living is restricted by a person's interests and their escapes from under others' pressure. Tricky. Unperfect. Disbalanced. Achingly alive. There are so many social opportunities a person can use but can't fit to feel content by doing that, can't force themselves try less or change the direction of putting their efforts. The outward circumstances always put restrictions and everyone has to choose their way - according to their aspirations and their assessment of losses accompaning the choice. It may be hard to accept afterwards - we never know of real backstage of our glorious visions. I keep thinking of the Sixshot's ficlet - I wrote in some past review of mine that I don't think he is satisfied being among the Terrorcons - but since then I accepted that nobody gets perfection. Just like nobody is perfect to begin with. And nobody fits perfectly with others (and that is what makes the relationships interesting - or ugly indeed). Maybe to feel content is the best feeling that can be obtained... I consider a lot of things, thanks to your writing. I loved the part of Grimlock Prime. If anyone can manage the title and the job attached it would be him. |
2211Nighthawk chapter 1 . 1/3/2017 Maaaan I don't know weather to laugh or cry or both. I think Fort Max's was my favourite by far but I think Wheeljack's is one of the saddest. But that being said, I'm definantly going to be remembering most of them. *sigh* |
Larisareader chapter 1 . 1/3/2017 Thank you very much! It's the best New Year present for me :) I was so curious to read the ficlets I missed... |
