I enjoyed this story at the beginning but honestly am having trouble following it as its becoming rather implausible. Sorry if this sounds harsh but you have potential as a good writer so you need to strenthen your plots. Lisbon would have had the guy show or tell her where he dropped Jane if he were telling the truth -so wouldn't just sit there frustrated. . Also a person who found an injured man at the side of the road would call 911 or at least take him to a hospital -not take him home and drive him in the morning. Think about your plot and make it realistic -don't simply write to the end goal and have people act in ways not real.

Ahlberg's still a puzzle. Hm. Really a good Samaritan who accedes to an injured person's request to be left miles from anywhere - and way outside Sacramento? In cahoots with the hit-and-run driver who killed the other person? Looking forward to more.

Painful to be in that situation, painful to read. Still wondering whether it was just an opportune robbery(?). But if he'd been talking to the man before being hit by a car, maybe it was planned. And then the question is - by whom? Looking forward to more.

Hm. Opportunistic simple robbery of a man injured in a car accident? Good Samaritan - NOT! Strange otherwise. At least Jane's alive.

Interested to see why Ahlberg took Jane, was it planned or happenstance, and, how will Jane get found/rescued?!
