I like Pye! I’m so glad Luffy found a friend, he needed one! Even if Pye isn’t part of his destined crew, he’s now part of Luffy’s chosen crew. Luffy’s Collection of Animal Companions? Something like that. This story is the best!

Actually I have an idea for an AU of this story, where the news about the Pirate Kong’s crew having a Dream got out to the entire world. And of course there are kids and pirates everywhere claiming to have had this dream because they want to be the next pirate king. In the shuffle, Luffy and his crew aren’t found out, and they get together with fewer problems and nothing hurts.

Like, I know that the sad things and breaking apart are necessary for the crew to build even stronger bonds and have Luffy prove he can lead them, but also these poor characters stop hurting them you monster. You better promise them a happy ending.

I’m torn between immediately after dealing with the Kuro situation and when the pick up Nami and he’s still trying to leave.

How the hell did a 3 year old Nami "make sure it was snowing lightly"? You can't just gloss over that.

You really have to chill with these super smart babies. I get that they're technically twice as old since they are aware while they sleep, but you don't learn object permanence till you're two. Nami has no business even being able to comprehend the concept of anything happening in the future at 8 (16) months old.

I really like this story but I must admit I have a bit of trouble sometimes, about distinguishing between narrators, like, whose point of view is it? It feels like it's changing randomly, or it's the same throughout the chapter, I feel like I don't know when it switches and by the time I realise it's already switched back or it's a different scene...

Tbh, I prefer this scene over the canon scene. I never understood why Bellemere just lied about her daughters. If she did, she'd still be alive and would be able to keep her daughters from being orphans again. She'd also prevent Nami's "enslavement". This scene puts the blame onto Nojiko though, and it's more understandable because she was just a child and didn't know the situation. To me, it just makes more sense this way. I always thought Bellemere was being selfish by declaring Nami and Nojiko as her daughters as it was for her own self-fulfillment, without taking regard for her daughters' situation after she would be gone.
