This chapter was just so funny to me because of how everyone's reacting to fixing her dislocated shoulder. I am impressed with what she did to impress, however - never read anything like it before.

This is pretty interesting, and for as much as I think there is more (though that might be wishing) this has a very complete feel to it.

So four years before Mockingjay. I googled it. Annie was the original tribute, traumatized by all of the kids getting cut down via gory violence, survived because the game masters flooded the arena and killed everyone else, then (probably) further traumatized when Snow starts pimping her out as fancy whore #70.
Loved the scene where Shikiko uses one projectile to alter the course of another projectile in order to catch a grape in her mouth. Super ninja powers are awesome.

Gotta admit my thoughts keep wandering to differences in approach. Katniss was an archer. A hunter, and played the role of the loving older sister and shy girlfriend. Shikiko is a ninja, even without chakra she is an assassin and warrior skilled in subterfuge, stealth, traps, poisons and explosives. Ninja wire and a knife would be a bigger asset to her than a bow and arrows.
Is this the same game as Katniss? Cause i can see Shikiko getting Rue out alive but the Mockingjay is going to get plucked.

Gotta admit that this is an intriguing story idea. Even without chakra Shikiko is one of the most dangerous, resourceful yet moral characters I'm familiar with. I can see her winning the game very efficiently then directing her attention against Snow and his regime.

Wow, this is amazing! You've managed to combine a fanfiction with a completely different fandom and out of all that, you've created a work of your own with great characterization. Oh my god it'd be amazing if someone could do a side fic inspired by this and give other POVs, especially for this chapter. Can you imagine Finnick or Cesar's thought process during this interview? Or Anthony and the Careers' during the the training when Celia/Shikako did that tumble knife throw? Like holy cow. But anyways, this is one of the longer takes of Shikako reincarnated in a new fandom and I love it! I hope you get inspired to finish it at some point in the near future!
