I love how you ended this.

Oh my gosh, I love the dynamic that Jim and Aurelan. And I think Bone is thrilled to be able to step into the uncle position. Not as much as if he could do regular visits with his own daughter but having a niece seems like a good kiddo to see since he can't.
Ok so Sam is Jim's 1st brother, Bones is his 2nd making Spock his 3rd brother. I can't wait when the kids and their parents meet their uncle Spock.

Finally, a chapter with change. I no longer want to punch Sam , he's finally starting to see his little brother for who he actually is. I was daydreaming a bit of Sam getting death glares and maybe beaten up a bit by the rest of the main 7 during parts of of the first 5 or 6 chapters. Sam really starts out as a guy you wish ill will towards due to how much you're sympathizing to Jim for all the hell he's been through, first growing up and then the hell he's lead his crew to and back more than once.
I was also wishing Pike would be involved in telling or maybe showing some of what Jim's been through or Bones going through Jim's medical history in detail, Sam's family so that's allowed right? But I'm not sure if they would help that stubborn brick that Sam transformed into to understand how wrong he is about poor Jimmy.

So far I've had 5 chapters of wanting to slug Sam a good one for his behavior.

Geez, please update! It's amazing! Imagine if Spock beamed down or something and visited. I have to say, I think you could cut back slightly on the acting childish jim. I know he's young, but he's experienced and tough. He's a strong captain of the Enterprise. Also, Bones shouldn't be super clingy, I know he's protective of Jim but he might be being portrayed as a bit too clingy.
Anyways, I still love it and really want to see where you go with it. I know that it's been two and a half years but if you came back to this it would make me very happy! Please! okay, I'll stop begging now. Really awesome story, I love the characters, and well done!

A perfect ending to a wonderful story! There's just one wee mistake here: in the first occurrence of Aurelan and Sam's daughter in this chapter, you call her "Joanna" instead of "Jane". This has been brilliant, well done!
