Wow. I was wary about this story line for part of me was afraid Sherlock did truly forget about Molly and later on I was wary about your take on Mycroft. My head canon is that the elder Holmes would never put Molly in harms way out of respect and obligation but also out of brotherly affection he has for her (I'm probably biased by thedragonaunt series). It was a hard pill to swallow but this last chapter... Disarmed me of my scepticism and ooc vibes this story gave me. Because, yes, as much as I believe Mycroft would not harm Molly, for Sherlock? He'll sacrifice anyone, her included, and without a second thought. Then, the forgiving part. I find Molly soooo in character here. Mycroft trying to pull a diplomacy only to end up being totally disarmed by Molly. Or better, yer, humbled by her humbleness. She can bring ANY Holmes to sincerely apologize for their misdeeds. She's awesome.

This story was awesome. I'm glad I stuck with it till the end (but it was written by you so I am not surprised by the satisfying conclusion ;)).

Goodness, you are a brilliant and wonderful story teller. Seriously, this was beautiful and emotional...and I'm glad there was forgiveness, sometimes that is the hardest, bravest and greatest treasured gift of all...Anyway I feel that you are a treasure and thank you for sharing such a powerful story.

I realize, I'm reading this some time later. But I need to say it, I like it, it was not easy read Mycroft in such a Light but I like the out come.

I love Mycroft too, but I think you've given us a rational and logical explanation why he did it.
I loved the situation Sherlock has created for Mycroft to apologize and the way you described the reactions of all involved was really funny (especially Greg and Mike rearranging the chairs).
I thought it logical that Molly forgave Mycroft. Just like you've said: She IS forgiveness. She would try to see the good in Mycroft's actions - him trying to save his brother.
The thing with the code was very clever.

Oh, I cried along with everyone in the room. How elegantly a tiny bit of light overturned darkness completely and left the world right.

I loved the apology scene. I think that you have a wonderful representation of grace. Forgiveness doesn't imply weakness or even that anger wasn't/isn't felt. It's seeing above it. It's allowing the good to cover over, to soothe what could fester and ruin not only yourself but your relationship with others. Not that forgiveness is justified in all cases, but the strength it takes to use in those cases is a beautiful thing. And by having Molly do that, I think you showed her beautiful her soul/heart. And in the end, that ability was able to touch Mycroft's heart and leaving an undeniable impression on him.

You did a beautiful job with this painful (at times) story!

Final chapter! How many things happened in just 8 "episodes"! Love it...
Gosh I couldn't forgive Mycroft that easily, but I'm not Molly so... she's sweeter than me. I won't cut him out of my life, how Sherlock would do... but, something in the middle haha
Did Sherlock actually said "Did you miss me" at Mycroft's face that many times? that was pretty hard... I would love to watch that!
I'm not so sure about the actual end, so... Mycroft centered but... I love this story all the way!

I loved how all the people who cares for Molly was there with her... looks like an intervention but not at all! hahaha Mycroft won't see that coming!

Sexy and sweet scene, whit the cuddling, she showing her back, he unbuttoning his shirt... Sherlock wandering how Molly's skin is so soft, was really funny.
How Mycroft has the nerves to call Molly "little mouse" after all that happen is unbelievable. I loved Sherlock's reaction to that!

Here I was a little confused...Mycroft sad "Don't make me say it again" and Sherlock said, he (Mycroft) wouldn't gett of that easily, that he had to say it to her.
But I didn't read anywhere what Mycroft said (that thing he don't want to say again?) I imagine that he was sorry (what he says to Molly later)
Anyway love the chapter, the tense between brothers is worst than ever!

"Oh my God I love you Molly"... that was perfect, a perfect declaration of love by Sherlock Holmes. I felt so bad for him, because he loves her so much that couldn't think clarly and couldn't find her sooner... how frustrated he must be felt!
When Sherlock removed the cat form the bed and said "Sorry Tobias, cuddling lessons" ... that was so funny!
Loved the last line... again.
