Oh the feels! The poetry stanzas interspersed with Sam's actions are a nice touch. Thanks for the scenes. :)

Love this story so much. God how I wish the episode would've played out like this! They're both so in character, and it just generally fits where they are, mentally, both respectively and as a unit. Great job!

I was meandering around and came across this again. And I'm sorry my first review was so...bland, and without much feel or detail. Because reading this again...GAWD, the feels, man. The FEELS. And with some EPIC (that's right - EPIC) whumpy-ish/H/C bits. Especially with Sam spotting the blood in the trash can, and I LOVE Dean's response, "Would you believe me if I said spaghetti sauce?" Perf. Totally perf. This is a really great little piece. *hugs it*

Very nice. An excellent exploration of the brotherly bond and the respect the brothers have for each others boundaries. Hopefully that bond will begin to heal in the future.

I like. Simply to care for Dean when he can't hold out much longer. Good for Sam.

Going back through fics written by my favorites, found this one again. Such a nice story! Wonderful brotherly bonding, just enough hurt for Sam to help with while not getting in Dean's way. Nicely done.

You have no idea how impatiently I've been waiting for someone to post a fic like this since Wednesday night's episode. Judging from the nightmare at the beginning and how depressed and almost lethargic Dean looked at the end, I, being the sick fic lover I am, just thought he looked like he was under the weather.

It's about time for this to actually happen in the show, and I am so in love with this story that I've already read it twice. Sam picking up the pieces of his brother after a horrific nightmare is definitely what should happen. But, I do agree that (especially in the episode) it would have been terrible for Sam to get in the way and wake up Dean in that state. My assumption is that Dean was dreaming of *killing* Sam, not just calling out for him. But that's just me.

Honestly, I loved this piece so much that I wish there was more! I loved how Sam just lead him into their makeshift entertainment room, broke out the whiskey, and watched a movie with his brother. I swear that I will be chronically disappointed in the show if the whole falling asleep on one of their shoulders doesn't happen at least *once.* I mean, seriously, is it too much to ask for?!

I am SO HAPPY you wrote this, it's absolutely brilliant and captures the brothers so perfectly! Sam's thoughts on how terrifying a vulnerable Dean is were particularly moving, and something I think we all understand to one extent or another. So glad Sam sticks by him though, accepting the role reversal and "playing big brother" for the night. It's one of the things I'm really enjoying this season, is watching the roles get skewed between the boys as they become more partners/brothers than big bro/little bro. Love it!
