Looking back on that chapter, it always pissed me off how Naruto just demanded the Kyuubi to 'pay rent.' You think Kyuubi wanted to be sealed. Honestly, even when I didn't know what I know now, I grew a big dislike for Naruto when that chapter came out. Naruto has no one to blame but his own attitude.

So...does this mean Naruto won't be getting paired up with someone?

This is very interesting. In my opinion Naruto should be very distant and slightly cold towards to everyone. Due to such hardships and a tough upbringing. Or you can Naruto be neutral towards everyone.

What has the Konoha 9 (12 if you cout Team Guy) done for Naruto?
Have any of them made a attempt to alleviate his pain? Nope.

Hinata 'stalked' Naruto periodically and did nothing to stop his suffering. Most of his classmates and Jounin senseis think less of him. Hiruzen announced his status to the entire village AFTER the village was just attacked.

At most his "Comrades" are really associates at best.
Expendable if crossed.

Please continue this is a good story. You just need longer chapters.

It's a pretty good idea. MAybe just flesh things out a bit, add more detail. And just to comfirm, your Kyuubi is more apathetic than hateful? I look forward to your work.
