I never grew up with the 60s Addams Family or any version since. But thanks to YouTube, I've been able to experience the perfect performance those two gave us as one of the most head-over-heels couples ever. And so, I decided to pop over to this section to see what it had to offer.

As evidenced by this review, yours was among the first. I've read others, but I haven't stopped to review them yet.

And this was fantastic. I think the premise, while simplistic, really fits a couple like Gomez and Morticia. As creepy and kooky as they are, they really are decidedly old-fashioned in terms of their family, and I appreciate that. So, to lose something that symbolizes their marriage, it makes sense that she would want to find it. Also, I find it sweet of Gomez to have it engraved for Valentine's Day. Oh, it made my heart melt.

You also definitely captured and expanded on the ardent passion and devotion displayed in the series. Oh, I don't think there's any doubt that they not only did it but kept on doing it. I find it more effective when it's suggested rather than shown, and that applies to your story as well. I was grinning at the flashback with Morticia coming into Gomez's study and the eventual proceedings. I think it was done in a way I can describe as tastefully sexy.

You also managed to perfectly capture the off-the-wall tastes of the family well, which is more than I could ever do in writing, so I applaud you for that.

I can agree with other reviews that this story does have some mechanical issues. The use of tense is important, and you do tend to switch between present and past, which halts the flow. Some of the sentences could also be combined so they're not all the same style. And a personal gripe with me is the use of ( ) especially in dialogue, as you did with Gomez near the end. To me, it halts the dialogue.

Still for a first story in the fandom, you did well. This was a pleasure to read and re-read, especially for someone with a soft gooey center, like myself.

I really enjoyed this! The characterisation was excellent and the description was every good too.
My only advice would be to be aware of your tense agreement; it switched a few times, making it stall. Otherwise, it flowed really well.
