Author has written 14 stories for Battlestar Galactica: 2003, and True Blood. I discovered how much I love to write fiction last January (2006). Before that I was a watercolorist, but don't know if I will ever again pick up a paintbrush because all I do now is write, write, write. Of course, one always has to work to pay the bills. I'm joined by my husband and my cat, Dylan. We live at 7,500 feet in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado, with the New Mexico desert a quick trip to the south, which includes Taos and Santa Fe. We're so lucky! It is beautiful here and very romantic with mountains, desert, deer, cougar, Ponderosa pine, cowboys, Navajos, art, Mexican food and, oh yes, TEQUILA! With this kind of country, naturally, we hike, backpack, bikeride and camp. My husband just bought a motorcycle, so my fingers are crossed. Love all kinds of music, depends on the mood I'm in; always have it on while writing. Yoga, dance, read and, most important, watch BSG. So far, at least, I have tried to stick to canon in my stories. The main one, "Learning to Fly," is a back story for Lee Adama. The others have something to do with him in one way or another. He's such an interesting character to work with. I find him so, anyway. I also take writing seriously, and am constantly reading up on it and trying to improve. Which means I appreciate reviews and constructive criticism. |
