Author has written 15 stories for X-Men. !!I'm back!! Again. I'm starting to think I should stamp a date on these announcements. As everyone knows, RL gets in the way and there isn't much to say about it, so I won't bother anyone with details. I am slowing down the frequency of my updates during, at least, the first half of 2020. I was (and still am) under a lot of pressure on too many fronts and, while I love writing and sharing ideas with you, my readers, I must be careful to not get overloaded by the my schedules. This means I'll be uploading only one story at a time and only once a month. Once we get to August, I'll see if I can improve into twice a month updates. I long to return to weekly updates, but I won't make the same mistake twice. Slow but sure is better than months long hiccups. Happy and successful 2020! I'm terribly sorry for the way too long hiatus. My house renovation got a bit out of hand, which fueled a 'disagreement' with my internet provider and ended up on a fashionable social experiment of living months without an internet connection at all. Well, except at work, but since I don't use the work net connection for private matters, I was basically internet free. And TV free, too! Conclusion 1: I discovered I do not need the TV for my survival. In fact, it doesn't even impact my happiness in any meaningful way. Oh, wait it does: no TV means saving money and time better used elsewhere. Conclusion 2: The Internet impacts my happiness in very meaningful ways and I find it is essential if I want to lead a happy life, since it offers entertainment, education and a way to connect with people I'd otherwise never meet. I was unable to write much during the house renovation period, but have since returned to a good level of production. That means Hidden Years has a good stock of chapters, even if Disasters Come in Threes isn't quite finished yet. Hello, everybody. I've finally returned after a long break with the single objective of posting the unfinished stories which, in the meantime, I have mostly finished (offline). I'm afraid I disliked some scenes in previous published chapters (mostly in the Irbis saga) so I adjusted them. There were no big changes, just... some improvements. My main story is about Sabretooth and an Original Character. The series was originally influenced by Rurouni Kenshin's (otherwise known as Samurai X) first OVA, where he was a young killing machine, hoping that his killings might help the poor suffering people. Nevertheless, the fact that he was a killer was slowly erasing all his humanity away, leaving only the emotionless killing personna. To help him, his boss finds a girl, Tomoe, willing to be Kenshin's "sword sheath". Thanks to her, he discovers he's something more than just a killer. Creed, however, is a psycopath who enjoys embracing his killing personna way too much. How could a "sheath" for his claws ever survive? »» Irbis-Sabretooth Cycle (complete) 1st story: Long Way from Home - Sabretooth storms a secret government laboratory and finds himself an efficient housekeeper. Complete. 2nd story: Of Bravery and Cowardice - Sabretooth decides to break in his new housekeeper, turning her into an obedient employee. Complete. 3rd story: Grand Tour Polaroids - Sabretooth has a new vic waiting for him in Albany, NY, and decides to take a scenic route. Complete. 4th story: Dancing to the Sound of Death - Friends of Humanity, X-Men, random mercenaries and hitmen, general mayhem and bloodbaths... Irbis finally gets a taste of Sabretooth's life. Complete. 5th story: Taking the Tiger by Its Fangs - Creed decided Irbis will keep his bed warm from now on; she decided she'd rather have her own bed somewhere else and he's welcome to keep it warm. So she takes off to New York to get herself a place he can crash whenever he wishes... but ends up in a half-way job at a school for mutants. What could possibly go wrong? Complete. Stand Alone: House of M adness - Based off Sabretooth's life in the House of M storyline. It explains why he went crazy in Canada, after killing Senator Kelly, and started killing everyone in sight. The end also explains why the Black Panther managed to kill him so easily. Naturally, it ties in with my Irbis stories ('Taking the Tiger' ends in February, M-Day happens the same year in November). Complete. Collection of Sketches: Hidden years - Sketches of events that happen in between 'Taking the Tiger' and 'The Proposal'. It's basically a collection of character studies for the relationship between Sabretooth and the OC Irbis, while setting up a canon for events and habits to make sure the 'Taming of the Hearts' cycle progresses smoothly. It will be uploaded as an extra, next to the actual plotted stories. Temporarily on hiatus. Scheduled to come back for its grand finale in the summer of 2020. »» 'Taming of the Hearts' Cycle (on-going) This cycle is set in an AU that diverges from the canon comic books shortly after M-Day. The main heart in need of taming will be Sabretooth's, but he's not alone. Logan, Jubilee, Rogue, Gambit and even Kitty will have a chance to quiet down the wild side in their hearts. Oh, and my OC, naturally (former known as Irbis and now known simply as Isabel). The first story will not feature Sabretooth at all, but will rather set the stage to the adventures ahead. Each story will have a definite theme and focus, but they all tie together as a few threats and goals will carry on from one story to the next, all the way till the last dangling line is cut short and the wildest heart of them all becomes... well, as close to tame as a sabretooth tiger can get. 1st story: The Proposal - Remy and Rogue try to find the happiness they once had and have since lost, even though Jubilee crashes their private party. But it's all for a good cause and let's not forget that some apparent evils turn out to be godsends down the line. Complete. 2nd story: The Ressurrection - Sabretooth returns to the world of the living and he has a mission for the X-Men. Complete. 3rd story: Double Dealings - Sabretooth is still a man on a mission but he'll be facing three problematic fronts. Meanwhile, Mystique finally sets her plans in deadly motion. Complete. 4th story: Disasters come in Threes - Different levels of disaster will visit upon Jubilee, Sabretooth and Rogue. Sad ending with cliffhanger. Complere 5th story: Fighting for Happy Endings - Nearly fully written. Everyone wants a happy ending, be it steady couples like Kitty and Piotr, angsty couples like Remy and Anna, or even the random psycopath like Creed. Unfortunately, not everyone can get exactly their heart's desire. Chapters are published once a month (first day of the month) for the time being. Scheduled... 6th story: Digging Up The Dead - Plotting stage. Kitty and Peter are focused on their future and Jubilee follows their example. Only that means digging up the past. 7th story: Granny and the Wolves - Partially written. Red-eyed Scott visits Granny and faces the big bad wolves. 8th story: Blood is Thicker than Water - Partially written. Logan and Creed finally face their common past. 9th story: I'm not in love - Partially written. Creed and Isabel learn the biggest lesson of all: real trust and honesty. 10th story: The End - Partially written. Creed learns his last lesson: ambition has a price. Yes, when I pick up a saga, I pick up a long saga. Short sagas are no fun. »» Wolverine: Origin Spin-offs If you have not read the mini-series detailing the true origins of Wolverine, I suggest you do so before reading these stories. The wonderful site has got the summaries. Just check the menu for 'Issue Information', then 'Issue Summaries'. Scroll down the alphabetical list until you find 'Origin #1 - 6' and enjoy the reading. I've started writing long before the X-Men films came along. The moment I finished the first 'Origin' mini-series, I decided that it gave the perfect reason for Creed's long and ingrained hate for Logan. Therefore, the two stories below grew out of the mini-series and set my personal canon for the origins of Victor Creed and Logan. I know their origins have since been explored in the comics but I still feel that the misadventures between young James and Dog set the simplest and most seemless origin of the Wolverine-Sabretooth feud. 1st story: When Two Worlds Collide - Up station and down station were never meant to mingle. For when they do, tragedy follows. Complete. 2nd story: The Underdog - Of Dogs and men: the winding road out of boyhood and into a grown-up's world of hate. Or of how Victor Creed and his hate for Wolverine were born. Based on the first Origin series. Complete. »» Other Stories Marionette - X-23 speaks about her past, and about naughty marionettes. |
