Peter never grew up with Ben and May. He grew up with HYDRA, trained and brainwashed to be even better then the Winter Soldier. He's lost all hope that he would ever be free, but maybe a bit of hope comes back when the Avengers are unknowingly sent to retrieve Peter. Maybe Peter will learn to be something other then a weapon.
