I've answered to more nicknames and pseudonyms than most people can remember, but I prefer Ali. I'm a quirky, open-minded university student with an unfortunate tendency to procrastinate. I don't have much to say about myself because truth to tell, there's not much (of interest) to say, but I wrote a bio because I like to read other people's. I've updated it because details have changed and because I have a perfectionistic streak a mile-wide, so expect some minor variations on the same theme (i.e. me, myself, and I :P).

I spend an inordinate amount of time with my head buried in the book or in front of the computer with a role-play document, a story, or a Wiki page open in front of me. As an English major, I think I'm allowed to live most of my life in ink, paper, and fibre-optic wire, but I venture out from time to time, usually to debate, rughook, or watch reality TV :3. I have a busy schedule now that I'm back at school, but I'll try to remain active in fandom because I've long wanted to be more involved.

I write almost exclusively for Harry Potter, but I dabble in Naruto, Sailormoon, and Teen Titans. I have a couple stories for .hack//SIGN, Inuyasha, and Witch Hunter Robin on my hard drive and I have some ideas for Smallville, Merlin (BBC), House, MD, and Jane Austen fic, but we'll see if I ever post them. I read in (and beta for) a few other fandoms, and if I ever start on all the TV, books, etc. my friends have introduced me to, then I can probably add more to the list. I claim I'll overcome my commitment issues (with popular media) someday, but I've such a huge backlog that I'm probably a lost cause.

Practical Notes:

My warning policy is to mention common squicks and triggers in an author's note if they're not obvious from the summary, but it's possible that I'll miss some. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I do or if you'd like more specific information about the content of a fic.

I love feedback and I think in-depth discussion of canon, fanon, etc. is the bombdiggity, but unless you're Sailor Mars, there's no excuse for flames (sorry, I can no more resist a pun than Shakespeare :3). If you review my fic, I'll return the favour, but I can't promise I'll be prompt.

Just FYI, I only have one account here, but I do cross-post pretty much all my fic to Archive of Our Own (also known as AO3), so don't be surprised if you come across some of the same titles there.

I feel as if I've ended anticlimactically, but I did warn you. Maybe in a few years, I'll be cool enough to come up with a real conclusion, but I wouldn't hold out hope :P.
