![]() Author has written 6 stories for Star Trek: 2009, and Avengers. As a writer you don't want your readers to simply read, but to keep reading. It's just not enough; they've got to feel. You want them to laugh with your character, cry when they cry and stand right alongside them all the way. They morn and scream with your characters failure, celebrate with their success. You don't want them to love you. You want them to hate you because you can't do that, that just isn't fair. You push your characters and your readers right until the brink of breaking, just because you can. Your job is to spin them round and around until they no longer know how to feel. You want them to dream, to wonder what's going to happen next. Only you control what happens every step of the way. You want them addicted, to crave more. You want them to wait, with baited breath, to find out if the best friend lives or dies and if that guy finally gets that girl he deserves. A readers job is to keep on reading. A writer's job is to make you read. 27/3/16 - I recently received a comment on one of my fics. While the comment was positive, it claimed that my 'spelling is appalling'. I had checked the spellings at the time of posting and have sinced checked again. I found no significant errors that warranted such a comment and as such feel the need to point out: I am British and as such my spelling is strictly BRITISH. IT IS NOT WRONG. Your reviews are always appreciated though. |
