As I am a person that plays RPG types of video games regularly I noticed that there are always holes in the stories, in one form or another. Some things are left unexplained, or characters are simply "forgotten" about and pushed to the back. As such I wanted to create stories that filled the void that get left behind by these holes.

The Final Fantasy series is a perfect example of this, as while the story continues on it's tracks, other characters that are affected by the main characters in the story are "brushed aside" and simply thrown to the winds. Those that have played any of the FF series know what I am talking about. In other games, you create an Original Character (OC), White Knight Chronicles is another perfect example of this, and beyond a couple of glances or references, you never see them really "involved" in the story beyond fighting.

I always enjoy the "what-if" scenarios people write up as it can sometimes give me ideas, and in addition makes me think about what could/would have happened if a VERY small adjustment was made to the story.
