However, when his best friend starts becoming distant and Mycroft is no where to be found, John begins to wonder what had really happened all those years ago. Sherlock must reveal a deeply kept secret in order to save his friends, but it brings about the attention and revenge of a new enemy. What must he do to keep those he loves safe? AU.

After a year of constant work, a secret society takes it upon themselves to save Sherlock from running himself into the ground. He is kidnapped and kept under guard so he will recuperate, but the great detective's mind won't allow him to take this lying down.

They quickly discover that the island isn't quite what it seems and surviving on the island is being made extremely difficult by Moriarty who pushes them to their breaking points. Moriarty drug the knife across the girl's arm. "Naughty Sherlock. You didn't tell me you had a daughter. Oh! Perhaps you didn't even know. Did you have an AFFAIR?" Sherlock' s voice was calm, but his hands uncharacteristically shook. "I was married." "Oh,my. A woman loved YOU? This is your daughter?" "Let her go! She has nothing you want.""You didn't answer me!"

In the facility, life is simple. It's full of pain and humiliation, but there is a perfect routine to it that provides Ada with a strange sense of security. Now she's out in the real world, surrounded by people with questionable morals and a Consulting Criminal desperate to reclaim his property.

In facing a new, high-profile case, Lestrade calls upon Sherlock and John's combined efforts to help his team solve it as quickly as possible. But with the case comes a new Detective Sergeant, who seems oddly familiar, and appears to have a deep, burning hatred of Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock gets sick, not 'he'll recover in a few days' sick but hospitalised for a long time sick. His friends are all there to help him but he is Sherlock, he doesn't want or need their help. Rated T just to be safe. This involves all of the recurring characters, there just wasn't room for them all in the 'characters' section.

When Sherlock discovers that he is ill he decides to hide it from John because he is sure that if he lets him discover his weakness John is going to leave him without regret. So, he goes through diagnosis and therapy on his own. He knows he doesn't deserve anything different.

John meets Scarlett Holmes who claims to be Mycroft's daughter, but the problem is she looks more like Sherlock. John will find out the secret of the Holmes family and learn more about Sherlock's past.
