Author has written 2 stories for Fate/stay night, Fire Emblem, and Sekirei. Yo, I'll keep this sucker brief. First off, I've always wanted to post stories on Fanfiction to see what others think of my writing abilities. As such, I would appreciate if any and all reviews are constructive. I like to think that my writing ability is pretty good, but this would be the first time that thought is put to the test. If it does suck, than give me a good lashing, because I would deserve it for my arrogance. Secondly... I don't really have a part two, so I guess I'll get back to you. 11/21/14 I must apologize for the delay with my most recent Path of the Wagtail chapter. The reason for the delay is because I have spent most of the time plotting out the rest of the story. While doing that, I had come across one... I don't want to say hiccup, but at least fact that needs to be dealt with: I already know how I plan on ending the story, and it crossed my mind that the tone of the first chapter (and what I have done of the second) is very different from the planned ending. I have four possible solutions to this: a) ignore it and continue onward (which I won't take because dammit, I have high standards), b) change the ending to better fit the tone (this would mean I would have to deliberately write this story comically, which I can't help but think would be difficult for me because I didn't even realize how comical it was until people pointed it out to me), c) write the story in such a way as to subtly shift the tone of the story to that of the ending (probably won't take due to the fact that I have no idea how to go about doing that), or d) change the beginning of the story. While I'm leaning towards option d, I still plan on releasing the second chapter of the original version anyways. Than I'm going to write up the first two chapters of the newer version of the story and let you guys decide. I've also said that I wouldn't write more than one story at any given time, but another one of the reasons why I've been delayed is that I have to many stories currently in my head bouncing around distracting me. I had originally wanted to write just one story at a time because I hate it when writers start stories and never finish them, and because I was afraid constantly switching stories will lead to me losing the pulse of each of them and eventually be unable to continue because I lost the voice used to write that story. Doing the opposite, though, has led to the annoyance of ideas constantly bombarding my mind and distracting my thoughts. As such, you guys might see a multitude of stories popping up so I can get the ideas out of my head and be able to focus. This will, of course, lead to less regular and slower updates, but I hope being able to read a multitude of different stories will soothe that fact |
