After leaving camp two years after the 2nd Giant War, Percy Jackson realizes that his specific skill set isn't good for much in the mortal world. When an unforeseen situation arises, he becomes a mercenary. Years later, the mortal world faces danger from the godly world once again. Or a godly world, anyway. This time, though, it's the mortals' own fight. Mostly.

Annabeth managed to escape Tartarus and join the seven in the war against Gaea, but Percy was left behind. Now, three centuries later the Doors of Death are opening again and nine heroes descend into the Pit. The events which follow, none of them could have anticipated. Everyone says that time heals all wounds, but Percy knows it leaves only scars.

What should have been a simple scouting quest leads to Frank and Hazel being kidnapped by an unknown enemy, and Percy and Annabeth head to Beacon Hills to rescue them. Things go a little awry when some locals take more of interest in them than they'd like, and it soon becomes apparent that Frank isn't the only shapeshifter in town.

The structural balance of the world was tilting ever since the war with Gaea. When tragic events set heroes apart, leaving some dead and others distraught sacrifices must be made. Even so, five years later a coincidence involving Percy Jackson sets the end of the world in motion.

The new Hufflepuff was odd, Harry thought. He didn't understand how such an innately kind person could be friends with Slytherins.

Percy is dead. He has fallen to a enemy which he had to sacrifice himself to beat. Before he died however he worked on recordings. Each recording to say bye to his friends and family,

"What?" he said in a teasing tone. "Am I distracting you with my gorgeous body?" She offered the boy an indifferent shrug. "No, the amount of stupid radiating off of you is threatening to choke me." Percy and Annabeth are best friends, but as swim season and the end of Senior Year approaches, they have to figure out what their feelings are for each other, especially as Percy considers a school that's a thousand miles away from home. Listening to Percy Jackson singing in person, rather than in the privacy of her own home, is an entirely new experience for Annabeth Chase. His voice soaks into her skin, and she can picture his sheepish smile from where she stands backstage, waiting to go on. Percy is known for that ridiculous, awkward smile. When people tell him that, he usually just smiles even more awkwardly.
