This is a sequel to Stay With Me but can be read as a standalone as well. Life is finally normal. Carol is Mayor of the Alexandria Safe Zone and her and Daryl are a happy couple. But one day Daryl is kidnapped while out on a run. He's returned to the group but he's different. When Carol finally finds out why and what happened to him... Things could change forever...

Things are heating up at the prison, Daryl and Carol are falling for each other. Their main focus is surviving, but what happens when something unexpected happens in Daryl and Carols lives? Will it bring them closer together? Or tear them apart?

"I'm not pretending. You were. I know. I can hear them… They just want me to change. They can make me be like them. Maybe I should change. I can make you all understand."

Carol's words to Tyreese tiptoed in whispers through her head as she joined the steady flow of walkers moving toward Terminus. She would kill people. She'd kill as many as it took to get them out again.

This fic is a re-write of Daryl's scenes from Inmates, Still and Alone to show how things would have been different if Carol was with him. Set a few years after Daryl, having escaped the prison with baby Judith, reunites with Carol and makes a life for all three of them. It's Christmas and the season brings with it a wee bit of angst, a lot of fluffy feels and of course, a good helping of Caryl smut.
