![]() Author has written 12 stories for American Pie, Naruto, One Piece, White Collar, and Gintama. About me: I'm an amateur writer. I have two fluffy tabby cats and I am a geek. I find something and then geek all out about it; books, specific anime series, crime shows, computer games… I am a bit all over the place, I prefer to myself as a jack-of-all-trades. Language: I’m not a native English speaker, but have been studying it and am now loosely trying to learn Japanese. I write in British English though some words are American due to the influence from television and movies. In my anime fics I sometimes include some Japanese phrases or words and most often I will use the honorifics given to them in the show. Favourite pairings (which I search for myself): Naruto: NaruHina, TemaShika, SakuSasu, TenNeji (In my universe he’s not dead) One Piece: NamiSanji Gintama: OkiKagu FTW Fairy Tail: LevyGajeel Bleach: RenjiRukia,ToushirouKarin, ShinjiHiyori Why OCs? Because I like believing I’m in the story. Who wouldn’t want to be an awesome shinobi/samurai/pirate/witch? It can also help the dynamic in the story adding a new character since we already know the originals from the show. Why I love fanfiction: It can take the universe that I already love and make it so much more. And often I get to read about the pairings the actual show wouldn’t give me. :P A lot of series and shows take a turn where I am left wondering, what if this had happened instead… And then I just start exploring that world. Many of these are just silly and never get one word on paper (or the computer) but a few have made it, because I thought others might like them as well. I love sharing and reading other people’s ideas and see where their imaginations have taken them. Pet peeves about fanfiction: I have some, and they are all something I try to avoid myself: 1 Bad summaries, most often it’s “I’m bad at summaries.” Well then I expect you to be a bad author as well and I’ll skip your story. Please, just write a sentence or two; “X is an ex-soldier, Y is a workaholic, when these two meet worlds change.” Or something. If it seems hard just make it simple. 2 Making the female weaker or less strong than she is in the series. It’s too chauvinistic. I like her because she is awesome, stop making her less awesome just so she can be rescued by the hero. 3 Ending the romance stories with pregnancy just because… Either have it in for a reason or leave it out, it’s cliché. 4 Meddling characters. The type who just knows the two heroes are destined to be together, though they themselves are not aware yet. I just can’t take them. 5 Too OCness. It’s luckily rare in the stories I find. Some OCness is necessary but when it’s a completely different character then stop. 6 First person stories. I wrote one myself but it’s so annoying to read. It feels like someone telling me the story where I instead want to immerse myself into the story. 7 People who won’t continue a story unless they get a specific amount of reviews or follows? Seriously, what’s up with that?! Reviews: I try to be better at writing reviews, but I do love receiving them be it feedback or encouragement. (-) Bonus: Profile picture is a slightly edited screenshot from the series. |
