Author has written 7 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender. Hi! I'm Mullach21, and I've been on this site for a couple of years. I took up writing about two years ago now. I'm an 19 year old lad from Ireland, who enjoys writing in his spare time. So far, I have only written for Avatar: The Last Airbender. Will that change in the future? I don't know. Follow me on Twitter! I may post updates from time to time, chat with people or just retweet Avatar art! My main ships for ATLA would be Tokka (Because how couldn't you love those two!) and the unusual pairing of Zuki (Zuko and Suki) due to the few interesting moments in the comics. Currently, I'm writing what I would describe as a Post-Canon continuation. My series attempts to develop both the relationship of Tokka and Zuki into actual romantic relationships. It began as Repaying A Debt, a simple one-shot (That should probably be rewritten since my writing has improved.), which I did a sequel to, and then another, and another... I believe you can jump into any of the parts of the series and read. Of course, there will be references to the earlier parts, but for the most part, each of my fics are their own stories that deal with their own things. Currently, I am writing Returning Home. Once I finish this part, I may go over some of the other parts and try to fix them up a bit. I have a couple more parts to get through, but I have a feeling I'll some day finish this! Since I've started my FF journey, I've seen my writing improve immensely, mainly due to the amazing beta I found by the name of 8D SerenityCrystal Tear 83. There's a clear difference in quality between my earlier work, and my work when she came on board. I love to interact and get to know people, so if you'd like to, go ahead and PM me! Be it a question on my stories such as updates/theories, if I'm still alive, due to inactivity, or anything else, I'd be happy to chat! I would like to thank SuetonicSonic from Deviantart for my Avatar picture. Isn't that baby werehog so cute! Updates An Old Flame Update - 15/02/18 Update - 23/02/18 Good news! The chapter is written. Bad news, I still have to wait until I get it back from my beta, which should hopefully only take a couple of days. There'll probably be some slight rewrites, and general back and forth. Also, the chapter turned out to be about 6000 words! I'm considering splitting it into two 3000 words chapters, although they would be posted fairly close to each other. Again, I'm sorry about the delay; this chapter has a lot of stuff in it, and I want it to be the best thing I can make for you guys. On a side note, Chapter 11 has been beta'd and has a couple of small changes. The main thing being how the dress is described. If you have any questions, be sure to message me. Thank you all again for your patience! Don't be afraid to PM me if you have any questions on stories, or anything else. I love interacting with the people who read my stuff! Due to the fact that I can't PM guests, I suppose I'll put any comments I have here. As a general covering, thank you in general if you review the story as a guest, as having a bunch of thank yous might get old very quickly. I'll probably keep these here for a few weeks, then delete them. Returning Home: JulianH - Thank you for the review and the kind words. For Ty Lee, if she finds someone or not, is something that I'll figure out as the story goes on. I'll see what I can do about making the finale a cry worthy ordeal!Thank you for making the effort of writing in English but I'll admit, I did struggle to understand parts of what you wrote. I think it would actually be best to write the review in your own language to make things easier for yourself, and I can use google translate. Other reviewers have done similar, and it makes things easier for both of us! Thanks again. :) Unintentional Dating Roast Cabbage - Thank you for suggesting to make the Zuki story a part of UD, hopefully you kept up with it and enjoyed what I did. If you do see this, I'd love to PM you and possibly discuss what your thoughts were on the stories I've done, so if you ever do make a profile, let me know! :) Three's Company Guest/12th of September - Your little comment made me honestly laugh out loud, there was a very specific reason I didn't have Satoru's fortune, which will be shown later on in the story, although now I kind of wish I had done that. An Old Flame Guest/25th of December - Thank you so much for the review, and happy to hear you're enjoying the story. Not going to give any spoilers, but Zuko and Jin were an adorable couple couple. Their date is probably my second favourite part of that episode. Glad to hear you think so. I've tried my best to keep them as in character as possible, hopefully they way they act together seems natural. It's really in the comics where we see Zuko and Suki start to have real chemistry in my opinion. I'm going to stop on that point though before I give away anything that'll be talk or focused on in the story haha. Most of the references to her, among other things, have been trying to keep the world evolving, and making sure that while Zuki are the main focus of this story, the world still continues to move along, regardless of what's happening with them. I love world building and adding small things like. I'd love to have some sort of story revolve around Azula. At the moment however, I don't have an idea for her. I'll have to do a bit of thinking to come up with a realistic way to have her in a story. Having her interact some more with Ursa and Zuko would be great though. Again, would love if you made a profile so we could possible speak, that's if you want to. Thanks again for the review and support! An Old Flame Guest/29th of December - Thank you! Of course, not every chapter can have some major plot point or something happen, sometimes it's nice to have these type of chapters. However, I wouldn't necessarily say nothing important happened. We see Suki once more being the person that Zuko feels comfortable opening up to, and Suki is more than happy to listen. Suki's opinion on Mai is also somewhat developing. Is what she thought correct? I'll leave that up to the readers to decide, although that was my interpretation of the comic. Also, Zuko being a bit more, let's say, flirty with Suki. Zuko just seems to get himself into trouble when girls are around haha. You should check it out, it gives an interesting new perspective to Zuko after recently betraying Iroh. I'm in complete agreement. We've seen constantly that they can't communicate. I never felt like they worked as a couple, and Zuko and Jin had much more chemistry in their few minutes. Mai was a great character, just not right for Zuko. Ah Okay. That's a shame, but I understand. The moment you do though, be sure to send me a PM! I still have a few other stories in this series to get through before I even begin to focus on Azula. Mainly continuing on my Tokka storyline, and a fic dealing with Zuko and Mai's relationship. A few ideas for scenes have already began to tumble around my mind though, so I'm sure I'll come up with something. :) That's a very interesting way to look at it. Although, I would say she used them for her own gain. I believe she wants to turn Zuko into the ruler she wants him to be, rather than simply strengthen his rule. I think her final plan is for her and Zuko, brother and sister, to rule the Fire Nation together, him as Fire Lord, her as his advisor. I haven't read Smoke and Shadow in some time though, so I may have forgotten a few small things. I'll have to reread it and keep that view in mind. She's definitely changed, and again I'd agree with you. I don't think, like the comic seems to suggest, that she's completely back to her normal self. I think there is still problems with her mind, especially around her mother. Still a few more chapters till then. Thanks again for review! The current plan is every Thursday, so check back around then. :) An Old Flame: Guest: 5th of January - I'm sure you're not alone haha. As said, I didn't really feel like it fit in either chapter. I had thought of getting rid of it entirely, but thought it set things up nicely for the next chapter, and added a bit of stuff. I don't know what the reason they were kept in Korra, other than they regained the trust of the government. However, I would say that it would be foolish for the Earth King to throw away such elite soldiers. I'd imagine that they're under heavy scrutiny at nearly all times though. I've always wondered were there any dissenters to Long Feng, but of course the Dai Li had brainwashing techniques. You'll enjoy a small part of the next chapter then. ;) Very interesting view. Won't say if you're close or not though, because this is public. Interesting though. :) Ah, I knew there was a reason the whole advisor thing was in my mind. They would be incredibly powerful together, Aang and the rest would certainly have their work cut out for each other. It's important to remember that Azula always controlled and ruled through fear, so I'd imagine that there is some truth to her words. She was also obsessed with perfection, due to how her father raised her. I think she may want to succeed where her father failed, so she may want to mold Zuko into an Ozai-like Fire Lord. However, with her counsel, they would be a even stronger force to be reckoned with. Considering she used the New Ozai Society for her own gain, I imagine she sees her father as weak and a failure, so has no wish to see him on the throne again. I haven't given much thought to this honestly, so hopefully what I've written makes sense. Could you explain your idea of how it could be a reverse psychology trick? That sounds quite interesting. Thanks again for the review, and continued support! An Old Flame: Guest: 25th of January - No worries! Glad to see you back. I'm happy to hear you've enjoyed the past couple of chapters. Honestly, I felt like I had punched everyone who was hoping to see some small relationship between Zuko and Jin in gut. And right now, that girl seems awfully close haha. The people of the Earth Kingdom are a proud and hardy people, I doubt the Fire Nation would have ever truly subdued the population. Men, women and children can all play a part in war. I hadn't given much thought of those new girls honestly. I sort of dismissed them as throw-aways, and hadn't considered their interactions with Azula. Those are some very interesting points that you've brought up. I'll have to pay a bit more attention when I take a look at Smoke and Shadow again. I believe a new comic is being released this year, so hopefully we'll get some development on the Azula plot line. Once again, thanks for the review and continued support! An Old Flame: Guest: 2nd of February - Thank you! Good to hear that you enjoyed how I wrote Jin. I wish we had seen more of her, she was a lovely character from even the few minutes of what we saw. She's a bit of a romantic, so she was able to spot those little things between Zuko and Jin. He certainly isn't. Zuko might want to get better at that, now that he's basically a politician haha. Well, other than a short break from writing, I'll be doing a story about the visit the Kyoshi Island. It's probably going to be a relatively short story, compared to An Old Flame. I'm not going to give too much away, mainly because I only have general ideas right now. More will be revealed in the last chapter of An Old Flame, which should be in another two or three chapters. :) |
